Call of Duty fans have plenty to look forward to this year, with Black Ops 7 shaping up to deliver major surprises across both its campaign and Zombies modes. Longtime players will be especially excited, as one of the series’ most talked-about experiences is reportedly set to return.

One of Call of Duty’s most iconic Zombies maps could be making a comeback in Black Ops 7-and it’s reportedly getting a major update.

In the latest episode of Insider Gaming Weekly, industry insider Tom Henderson revisited his recent Black Ops 7 campaign exclusive before dropping a quick but exciting tease for Zombies fans.

Towards the end of the discussion, Henderson revealed that TranZit will be returning in this year’s title, but not quite in the same way players remember.

Importance: If true, this rumored return could mark one of the most nostalgic yet transformative moments for the Zombies community. Revisiting a fan-favorite map with modern gameplay changes not only taps into long-standing player demand but also introduces fresh strategies.

Black Ops 7 TranZit return may feature player-controlled vehicles instead of the classic bus

TranZit is coming back… in a much scaled-up way, but this time instead of a bus that drives you around, you’re going to be able to do it yourself.

This statement suggests that the classic 2012 Black Ops II Zombies experience—known for its foggy atmosphere, multiple interconnected locations, and the infamous automated bus—will see a significant gameplay change.

Hints For A Larger, More Detailed Map

Instead of replying on an AI-driven bus to traverse the map, players might now have direct control over the vehicle (or vehicles), potentially opening up new strategies and exploration opportunities.

While Henderson didn’t elaborate on exactly how this new transportation system will work, the mention of a “scaled-up” version hints at an event larger and more detailed map than before. This could mean expanded playable areas, additional routes, and possibly fresh objectives.

    Cautious Optimism For Zombies Fans

The return of TranZit has been a long-standing request from the Zombies community, with fans often calling for a remaster or reimagining of the map in newer Call of Duty titles. If Henderson’s information proves accurate, Black Ops 7 might finally deliver on that wish.

However, with a twist that could fundamentally change how the map is played. Activision has yet to confirm an official Zombies details for Black Ops 7, so for now, this remains firmly in the rumor category. Still, with a reputable insider like Henderson teasing its return, Zombie fans have good reason to be optimistic.
