Baker made the comments in a recent discussion about the project, saying he has seen the game’s development progress and that the cinematics have now wrapped.
Baker connected Gabrielle’s role to Ashley Johnson’s portrayal of Ellie, praising the way Naughty Dog found actors capable of defining its major protagonists. He said Neil Druckmann had previously found that quality in Johnson for Ellie and has now found it again with Gabrielle for Jordan. Baker’s description does not indicate that Jordan is literally connected to Ellie or The Last of Us story, but instead presents her as a successor in the broader sense of a new central Naughty Dog character.
The actor also compared the overall feel of Intergalactic with several of Naughty Dog’s previous games.
