Warota: I Live Next to The Demon King’s Castle LOL will launch in Steam Early Access on November 13, 2026, publisher One or EIGHT and developer Team EARTH WARS have announced. The village-building action RPG will later receive a full release across PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC in 2027. A specific date for the finished version has not yet been announced.
Warota takes place in Luna, a ruined world where the Demon King has seized control of the Gates and left much of civilization in ruins. Players take the role of a Bounder, a rare person with the power of creation who is tasked with rebuilding settlements, gathering allies and restoring what was lost. The unusual complication is that the player’s new home sits directly beside the Demon King’s castle.
Village building forms a major part of the game, with more than 30 structures available to construct. Players gather materials, craft furniture and expand their settlement, with additional villagers arriving as the community develops. Those villagers are not simply decorative, as they can be assigned jobs and brought into combat alongside the player.

Warota’s class system revolves around hats imbued with the goddess’s power. More than 20 classes are planned, ranging from production-focused roles such as Farmer and Woodcutter to combat-oriented choices including Warrior and Mage. Hats can also be given to villagers, allowing players to determine whether individual residents work the fields, cook food, defend the settlement or perform other roles.
Combat builds are further shaped through Divine Blessings collected at Goddess Statues throughout the world. These bonuses can increase attack strength or recovery speed, add elemental effects and provide other modifiers that can be combined into different character setups. The structure gives the action RPG a progression system that runs alongside the village-management side of the game rather than separating the two completely.
The Demon King’s concerts, referred to in-game as “Lives,” create the main threat to the player’s settlement. Whenever the idol Demon King performs, hordes of monsters are driven into a frenzy and descend on the village. Players must fight alongside their residents, strengthen defenses and defeat larger bosses while gradually uncovering more about the world and the Demon King’s role in it.
The November Early Access launch follows several public testing periods. An open beta ran from August 31 through September 7, with Team EARTH WARS using feedback from earlier testing to make changes to controls, button behavior and other elements of the experience. The studio has not yet detailed exactly how long Warota is expected to remain in Early Access or which features will be added before the full launch.
The Steam version had previously been listed only for winter 2026, while the official website continues to identify PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 versions for 2027. The new announcement narrows the PC schedule considerably by setting November 13 as the start of Early Access. The eventual full PC release will arrive alongside the console editions sometime in 2027.
Warota joins a number of games using Early Access as a step toward a wider multiplatform launch. Witch the Showdown is also entering Steam Early Access in November, while other projects have used the format to gather feedback before moving to their finished versions. In Warota’s case, the recent beta testing suggests One or EIGHT and Team EARTH WARS are already using public player feedback as part of that development process.
The full version is currently confirmed for PS5, Switch 2 and PC, with no Xbox release announced. Warota: I Live Next to The Demon King’s Castle LOL enters Steam Early Access on November 13, 2026, before expanding to its complete multiplatform release in 2027.
