Xbox has detailed the next wave of Game Pass additions for October 2026, led by Battlefield 6, Valor Mortis, Forever Ago and several day-one releases. The new lineup begins on October 8 and continues through October 16 across cloud, Xbox Series X|S, PC and supported handheld devices. Microsoft also confirmed nine games will leave the service on October 15.
Forever Ago arrives first on October 8 for cloud, console and PC through Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. The single-player road-trip adventure follows Alfred as he travels north after a personal tragedy, taking photographs and meeting new people along the way. It is joined the same day by Echo Weaver, a knowledge-based metroidvania built around a time loop, and Neon Abyss 2, which is also included with Game Pass Premium.
The biggest addition arrives on October 13 with Battlefield 6. The shooter is coming to cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC through Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, with EA Play included for Ultimate subscribers. The addition gives members access to the full game alongside EA Play benefits including a Deployment Pack, a Season 5 pack and recurring seasonal rewards.

October 13 also brings Deep Dish Dungeon and Valor Mortis. Deep Dish Dungeon is a day-one survival exploration game with crafting, puzzle-solving and online co-op, while Valor Mortis is a first-person action soulslike from the creators of Ghostrunner. Valor Mortis launches October 13 at $39.99, with a more expensive Deluxe Edition and additional story content planned for 2027.
Valor Mortis will be available through cloud, Xbox Series X|S, handheld and PC on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. The game follows a former soldier of Napoleon’s army who returns from death and gains supernatural powers while fighting monsters and uncovering a wider conspiracy. Its inclusion gives the October lineup another notable day-one release alongside Forever Ago, Echo Weaver, Deep Dish Dungeon and several smaller titles.
Bluey’s Happy Snaps and Chained Beasts both arrive on October 15. Bluey’s Happy Snaps is a photo-focused adventure that can be played solo or with a second player, while Chained Beasts is a one-to-four-player co-op roguelike built around gladiator combat. Both launch day one on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, with Bluey’s Happy Snaps also supporting handheld devices.
Beyond These Stars follows on October 16 for PC. The city-builder has players construct a settlement on the back of a space whale while managing supply chains, population needs and exploration. It is another day-one release through Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
Microsoft also highlighted several games that have recently joined the service. Shape of Dreams is now available across cloud, Xbox Series X|S, handheld and PC, while Minecraft Dungeons II and Gears of War: E-Day are already live on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. The latter launched on October 6 and brings Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago back to the earliest days of the Locust invasion.
The month also comes with a sizable removal list. A Plague Tale: Requiem, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Crime Scene Cleaner, Donut County, Evil West, Nova Roma, Pacific Drive, Superball and The Casting of Frank Stone will all leave Game Pass on October 15. Players who want to keep any of those games after they leave can purchase them separately, with Game Pass discounts typically available while they remain in the catalog.
The October wave gives Game Pass a mix of established releases and new day-one launches, with Battlefield 6 providing the biggest mainstream addition and Valor Mortis adding a major action RPG release. Microsoft is also continuing to support multiple device categories, including cloud, console, PC and handheld-optimized versions where available.
More additions are likely later in the month, as Xbox typically splits Game Pass announcements into multiple waves. For now, the October 8 to October 16 schedule gives subscribers a packed stretch of new releases while also setting an October 15 deadline for several notable departures.
