A Five Nights at Freddy’s collaboration is reportedly coming to Fortnite during Fortnitemares 2026, according to Fortnite leaker SamLeakss. The claim was subsequently amplified by ShiinaBR, who said SamLeakss is “100%” confident the crossover is planned for this year’s Halloween event. Epic Games has not announced a Five Nights at Freddy’s collaboration, so the report should still be treated as a leak rather than confirmation.

The new claim arrives after several weeks of unusually specific hints inside Fortnite itself. Chapter 7 Season 4 introduced an unfinished building on the Battle Royale island that players quickly compared with Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, including a broad restaurant-style exterior and an interior stage resembling the performance area associated with the Five Nights at Freddy’s series. The structure remains under construction, which has fueled speculation that Epic could complete or transform it as Fortnitemares approaches.

Five Nights at Freddy’s has also independently teased an upcoming crossover. In August, the official ScottGames account shared an image referencing a Five Nights at Freddy’s collaboration without identifying the partner. That teaser appeared around the same period players discovered the pizzeria-like Fortnite location, creating a stronger connection between two pieces of otherwise unconfirmed evidence.

None of those clues prove Fortnite is the mystery collaborator, and Epic has so far avoided naming Five Nights at Freddy’s in its Chapter 7 Season 4 announcements. The current season is heavily focused on gaming crossovers, however, which makes the franchise a plausible fit. Sonic the Hedgehog, Pac-Man, Mega Man, Persona, Kingdom Hearts, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners have all formed part of the season’s wider collaboration lineup.

Epic has also been spacing those partnerships across the season rather than revealing every cosmetic or event at launch. The Mega Man crossover was teased through Zero before its wider rollout, while the full Mega Man bundle and Item Shop date surfaced through datamining shortly afterward. A Five Nights at Freddy’s reveal during Fortnitemares would therefore follow the same broader pattern of holding major collaborations until later in the season.

Fortnitemares also provides an obvious thematic window. Fortnite’s annual Halloween event has historically introduced horror-themed cosmetics, map changes and limited-time content, while Five Nights at Freddy’s remains one of gaming’s most recognizable horror properties. Chapter 7 Season 4 runs through the Halloween period, giving Epic enough time to finish the suspicious pizzeria location before the event reaches its peak.

What the reported crossover might actually contain remains unknown. No reliable leak has yet established whether Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy or other animatronics will appear as Outfits, NPCs, map characters or some combination of those formats. Cosmetics, emotes, back blings and other bundle contents have likewise not been identified, and no Item Shop date has been reported beyond the broader Fortnitemares window.

That uncertainty is important because Five Nights at Freddy’s creator Scott Cawthon has historically been selective about collaborations involving the franchise. Fortnite players have speculated about an FNAF crossover for years, often based on weak clues that ultimately led nowhere. The current situation is more notable because the leaker claim now sits alongside a Fortnite map location resembling the franchise’s pizzeria and an official FNAF crossover teaser from ScottGames.

Until Epic Games or the Five Nights at Freddy’s team names Fortnite directly, the collaboration remains unconfirmed. SamLeakss’ report nevertheless gives the long-running rumor its clearest release window yet, pointing specifically to Fortnitemares 2026 rather than an undefined future crossover. If the leak is accurate, Epic’s unfinished pizzeria could become one of the central locations or promotional elements of Fortnite’s Halloween event.
