Fortnite’s upcoming Cyberpunk: Edgerunners crossover may extend beyond standard Battle Royale, with a new leak pointing to dedicated Blitz Royale content. Fortnite leaker SpushFNBR shared the claim while crediting Blortzen, suggesting that Epic Games is preparing some form of Edgerunners update for the faster 32-player mode. The exact format of that Blitz integration has not been confirmed by Epic Games, so the information should still be treated as a leak rather than an announced feature.
The report fits with earlier datamined information indicating that Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is expected to arrive during Fortnite’s next major update, currently anticipated for September 17. Previous leaks have pointed to multiple cosmetics, a new Override and several crossover items, including Rebecca’s Guns and potentially the Monowire. The new Blitz Royale report appears to build on those existing findings rather than introducing an entirely separate crossover.
Epic Games has already officially confirmed that Cyberpunk: Edgerunners content is coming during Chapter 7 Season 4: Override. The season announcement specifically names Rebecca’s Guns among the collaboration weapons planned for later in the season, while CD Projekt Red has separately revealed Lucy as an upcoming Fortnite Outfit. A recent teaser also showed Lucy in Fortnite, establishing that at least part of the crossover is no longer purely leak-driven.
Blitz Royale is particularly suited to short-term collaboration events because Epic frequently rotates themed loot pools and crossover items through the mode. Matches take place on smaller maps with 32 players, no building and accelerated progression through Blitz Levels, with some event weeks introducing weapons or abilities tied to specific franchises. Previous Blitz rotations have incorporated crossover content from properties including Marvel, Overwatch, Star Wars and KPop Demon Hunters.
That history makes a Cyberpunk-themed Blitz update plausible, but the leak does not yet establish exactly what players would receive. SpushFNBR’s post references the possibility of Edgerunners content being added to the mode, while separately expressing concern that the Monowire could be exclusive to Blitz Royale. There is currently no official evidence confirming that the Monowire will be limited to Blitz, or even that it will ship in the next update, so exclusivity should not be treated as established.
Rebecca’s Guns are on firmer ground. Epic’s own Chapter 7 Season 4 announcement confirms the weapon is planned for the season, while datamined information has provided additional details about how the crossover weapon may function. Rebecca’s upcoming Exotic weapon has been described in leaks as a dual-weapon setup combining rapid-fire SMG behavior with more explosive rifle-style attacks, although final balance values could still change before release.
The crossover also appears to be tied closely to Fortnite’s Override theme. Earlier leaks from Fortnite-focused accounts suggested Cyberpunk: Edgerunners would arrive with its own Override element, which would make the collaboration a natural fit for Chapter 7 Season 4’s broader system of rule-changing effects and special crossover equipment. Epic has not explained whether that Override will be available in Battle Royale, Blitz Royale or both.
A September 17 launch is also not officially locked in. The date has circulated through datamined update schedules and Fortnite leak accounts, but Epic Games has only confirmed that Cyberpunk: Edgerunners content is coming later in the season. If the update does arrive on that date, it could bring the Lucy Outfit, Rebecca’s Guns and additional crossover features at the same time, but individual items may still be staggered or delayed.
For now, the strongest confirmed pieces are that Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is coming to Fortnite, Lucy has been revealed and Rebecca’s Guns are planned for Chapter 7 Season 4. The Blitz Royale connection remains leak-based, as does the possibility that the Monowire could appear there specifically. More concrete details should emerge once Epic publishes the next update notes or the v42.20 build becomes available for datamining.
