Fortnite Leak Reveals Six New Loot Hacks for September 17

Fortnite is reportedly getting another Loot Hacks refresh on September 17, with six weapons and items set to rotate into Chapter 7 Season 4: Override. According to Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR, the next lineup includes the Rocket Ram, Reaper Sniper Rifle, Mammoth Pistol, Hyperburst Pistol, Deadeye DMR and Flowberry Fizz. Epic Games has not yet published the September 17 lineup itself, so the individual items should still be treated as leaked until the refresh goes live or is formally announced.

Loot Hacks are one of Override’s central progression systems, letting players spend Sprite Dust to customize which bonus items can appear from their own Chests during Battle Royale and Zero Build matches. Unlocking a Loot Hack does not immediately place that item in a player’s inventory; instead, it adds the corresponding weapon or consumable to their personal hacked loot pool. Players can then invest additional Sprite Dust to improve their chances of finding it.

The September 17 rotation would follow Fortnite’s v42.10 Loot Hacks refresh, which introduced another set of weapons and lowered the maximum rarity available through hacked loot. Epic said earlier this month that weapons generated through Loot Hacks would range from Rare to Legendary rather than Epic to Mythic after the system was producing too many high-powered items. Sprite Dust spent within a Loot Hack set can be freely reset and reassigned, but does not carry over when the pool changes.

The leaked lineup brings back several recognizable weapons from previous Fortnite seasons. The Reaper Sniper Rifle was one of Chapter 5’s dominant long-range weapons, while the Mammoth Pistol is a single-shot handgun built around high burst damage and careful accuracy. The Deadeye DMR provides another precision-focused option, giving the new rotation a noticeably stronger emphasis on ranged combat than some earlier sets.

The Hyperburst Pistol offers the opposite style of sidearm. Epic introduced it as a rapid three-round burst weapon, making it more suitable for sustained pressure than the Mammoth Pistol’s slower, heavier shots. Having both available through Loot Hacks would give players two very different pistol choices within the same rotation rather than simply providing variants of the same role.

The Rocket Ram is the biggest mobility item in the leaked set. Originally introduced in Chapter 4 Season 4, it lets players propel themselves through the air before crashing into structures or enemies, making it useful for both traversal and aggressive pushes. Its return through Loot Hacks would add a mobility option to a rotation otherwise dominated by firearms.

Flowberry Fizz would serve as the lineup’s primary support item. The consumable restores shields and can apply a low-gravity effect to nearby players, giving squads both healing and movement utility when used effectively. Its inclusion would also prevent the September 17 pool from becoming entirely weapon-focused.

Fortnite has already demonstrated that Loot Hacks are intended to change repeatedly throughout Override rather than remain fixed for an entire season. The previous v42.10 rotation included crossover weapons such as the Caduceus Staff and Scorpion’s Combat Kit alongside returning Fortnite firearms. Epic described the system as a way to bring back unusual gameplay options from Fortnite’s history while allowing individual players to decide which ones can appear in their own matches.

The reported September 17 change is therefore consistent with how Epic has been operating the system, although the final lineup could still change before activation. Earlier schedules circulating around Override also contained different combinations of items for future Loot Hack rotations, reinforcing the need to treat leaked lists as provisional until they appear in-game.

If the latest leak holds, players will have six new Loot Hacks to choose from beginning Thursday, September 17: the Rocket Ram, Reaper Sniper Rifle, Mammoth Pistol, Hyperburst Pistol, Deadeye DMR and Flowberry Fizz. Epic has not yet confirmed their Sprite Dust costs or whether any additional balance changes will accompany the refresh.
