Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse will reportedly require a 7.136 GB download on PlayStation 5, according to backend tracker PlayStation Game Size. The tracker lists the PS5 build as version 01.001.000 and says preloading will begin on October 13, two days before the game’s October 15 release. Sony’s PlayStation Store independently confirms the $29.99 Standard Edition price and October 15 launch date, although the download size itself has not been published on the storefront.
The reported 7.136 GB footprint makes Belmont’s Curse a comparatively small PS5 release, particularly alongside larger modern action games that can occupy dozens of gigabytes. PlayStation Game Size derives its figures from PlayStation backend data, so the number represents the package currently visible through Sony’s systems rather than a storage requirement officially announced by Konami. Day-one patches or additional downloadable data could still change the final installed size.
The October 13 preload date would give digital pre-order customers roughly two days to download the game before launch. PlayStation Game Size also reports a midnight release time, though exact unlock timing can vary by region and storefront configuration. Sony’s US listing currently shows Belmont’s Curse releasing on October 15 and offers the Standard Edition for $29.99.

Konami officially announced the October 15 release date in June, confirming versions for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Steam and Nintendo Switch. The publisher describes Belmont’s Curse as an exploration-based 2D action game developed jointly by Konami, Evil Empire and Motion Twin. It takes place in Paris in 1499, 23 years after the events of Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse.
Players take control of Rose Belmont, the daughter of Trevor Belmont, as she explores burning Paris and Dracula’s castle while fighting monsters with the Vampire Killer whip and other weapons. Trevor also appears in the story, while the confirmed cast includes Dracula, Sypha Belnades, Isaac, Carmilla, Medusa and Death. Konami has emphasized faster, more fluid movement while retaining the exploration-focused structure associated with modern Castlevania releases.
A playable demo launched on October 1 across supported platforms, with save data transferable into the full game when played on the same platform and account. Konami lists the PS5 demo’s minimum required capacity at 6 GB, which is broadly consistent with the full game’s reported 7.136 GB backend package. The Belmont’s Curse demo covers the game’s opening chapter and allows players to carry their progress forward.
The relatively small reported PS5 download also stands out compared with other recent backend size discoveries. For example, The Witcher 3 Remastered was reportedly listed at 68.57 GB on PS5, showing how widely storage requirements can vary even among current-generation releases. Belmont’s Curse uses a 2.5D presentation rather than the large-scale 3D environments and high-resolution asset libraries common to much larger games.
Konami’s official product pages also confirm that Belmont’s Curse supports 60 FPS on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, while the Nintendo Switch version targets 30 FPS. The PS5 release supports DualSense vibration, Remote Play and a range of accessibility features. Pre-ordering also includes an Alucard Style Costume as a bonus.
Unless the backend package changes before launch, PS5 owners should therefore need only a little over 7 GB of free space for the initial download. The October 13 preload should leave plenty of time for most connections to complete the installation before Belmont’s Curse unlocks on October 15. As always with backend-derived file sizes, the figure should be treated as provisional until the final retail build is live.
