Stellar Blade Complete Edition Launches on Nintendo Switch 2

Stellar Blade Complete Edition is now available worldwide on Nintendo Switch 2, bringing Shift Up’s action-adventure game to Nintendo’s latest console on November 5, 2026. The release includes previously released downloadable content from NieR:Automata and Goddess of Victory: Nikke, alongside a new Bayonetta collaboration featuring four additional outfits.

Developer and publisher Shift Up confirmed the worldwide launch through the game’s official website, with a live-action launch trailer accompanying its arrival on Nintendo’s platform. The Complete Edition is available digitally through the Nintendo eShop and physically at participating retailers, with a suggested retail price of $59.99 in the United States, £54.99 in the United Kingdom and €59.99 in Europe.

Originally released for PlayStation 5 in April 2024 and PC in June 2025, Stellar Blade follows EVE, a member of the 7th Airborne Squad sent to reclaim Earth from hostile creatures known as the Naytiba. The game combines action-focused combat, exploration and character progression as EVE investigates the circumstances behind humanity’s retreat from the planet.

The Nintendo Switch 2 version retains the main campaign and previously released expansion content while introducing platform-specific features. Shift Up has confirmed support for Joy-Con 2 motion controls during certain activities outside combat, although this does not mean the game’s combat system has been redesigned around motion inputs.

The Complete Edition includes the NieR:Automata collaboration, which introduces Emil’s Shop and character-inspired cosmetics. Players can obtain outfits based on 2B and A2 for EVE, an outfit inspired by 9S for Lily, and Emil-themed headwear for Adam. Additional collectibles include Stellar Tears and a Pod 042-inspired drone appearance.

The Goddess of Victory: Nikke expansion is also included. Its content features a boss encounter against Scarlet, additional cosmetic rewards, music, shooting-range activities and fishing collectibles inspired by Shift Up’s other major game franchise.

The latest collaboration brings Bayonetta-inspired cosmetics to Stellar Blade. Four outfits are included, drawing inspiration from Bayonetta, Jeanne, Nun and Black Tresses. Unlike the Switch 2 release itself, these additions are not exclusive to Nintendo hardware. Shift Up has made the Bayonetta collaboration available as a free update for existing PlayStation 5 and PC players.

Beyond the collaboration content, the Complete Edition includes additional cosmetics and bonuses such as the Stargazer Suit for EVE, Stargazer outfits for Adam and Lily, drone customization items, 2,000 SP EXP and 5,000 Gold. Some content becomes accessible only after players progress through the campaign.

One notable detail concerns the physical release. Shift Up has confirmed that Stellar Blade Complete Edition ships with the entire game stored on a 32GB Nintendo Switch 2 cartridge, rather than using a Game-Key Card that requires players to download the game data separately.

This distinction is particularly relevant as Nintendo’s physical distribution format continues to attract attention, including questions surrounding Switch 2 Game-Key Card releases and their physical reprints. Stellar Blade’s cartridge contains the complete playable game without requiring an additional download for its base content.

A limited-edition SteelBook featuring exclusive artwork is also available through participating retailers, with quantities restricted. Players interested in trying the game before purchasing can access a free demo through the Nintendo eShop.

Stellar Blade joins the Nintendo Switch 2’s expanding selection of third-party releases, including The Outlast Trials, which launched on the console in October. The arrival of Shift Up’s action game gives Nintendo players access to the main campaign and its established crossover expansions in a single package.

The worldwide launch is scheduled for November 5 at 7:00 a.m. Pacific and 3:00 p.m. GMT, corresponding to November 6 at midnight in South Korea and Japan. The Nintendo Switch 2 version is rated Mature 17+ by the ESRB and PEGI 18 in Europe.
