Where the Seeds Fall Launches on PS5, Switch 2 and PC

Cygames has released Where the Seeds Fall, a new action-adventure game developed by CygamesEdge and ZEREO, for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC via Steam. Priced at $9.99, the game marks the first release under the CygamesEdge brand, which was established to support small and mid-sized game development teams.

The launch was confirmed in an official announcement dated November 4, 2026. The PlayStation 5 and Steam versions became available ahead of the Nintendo Switch 2 release, which was scheduled for midnight Pacific Standard Time on November 5. Cygames also released the game’s opening cinematic alongside the launch.

Where the Seeds Fall takes place in a world devastated by a phenomenon known as Blight, which has forced humanity to establish settlements among the branches of an enormous structure called the World Tree.

The story follows a man who has lost everything and encounters a mysterious girl known as a Fell Child. These children are feared as omens of disaster, but the protagonist recognizes a resemblance between the girl and his deceased daughter. Defying his orders, he decides to protect her and escort her down the World Tree toward the surface.

Rather than focusing on conventional combat encounters, the game’s central mechanics revolve around navigating dangerous descents. Players must carefully judge distances, account for strong winds and find stable landing points while moving through the tree’s increasingly hazardous environments.

Crumbling platforms and unstable terrain add further challenges, requiring players to assess their surroundings before committing to each descent. The environmental navigation mechanics form the foundation of the game’s action-adventure gameplay.

Cygames describes Where the Seeds Fall as a compact narrative experience, with the main story taking approximately three hours to complete. Players who finish the campaign can access additional challenges, including higher-difficulty maps and a time trial mode.

These post-campaign activities allow players to revisit the game’s traversal mechanics under more demanding conditions, extending the experience beyond its relatively short main storyline.

The release also represents the first completed project from CygamesEdge, a brand Cygames introduced in September 2026. The initiative focuses on smaller-scale game development, drawing on Cygames’ publishing resources and development expertise while supporting experimental projects and independent development partnerships.

Where the Seeds Fall was developed by CygamesEdge and ZEREO, with Cygames handling publishing. The game supports single-player gameplay and offers English, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese language options.

The title is available digitally on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2 and Steam, with an ESRB rating of Teen.

Its release adds another smaller-scale action-adventure title to the Nintendo Switch 2 library, alongside upcoming indie releases such as BAKUDO, which is also planned for Nintendo’s console and PC.
