The Silent Hill franchise has been on a remarkable resurgence lately. Following the success of Silent Hill 2 Remake and the recent release of Silent Hill f, Konami seems more committed than ever to keeping its iconic horror series alive.

Fans have been treated to a mix of nostalgia and experimentation—remakes, spin-offs, and entirely new entries exploring different sides of psychological terror. Yet among them, Silent Hill: Townfall has remained one of the biggest mysteries since its 2022 announcement.

Recently, according to the French horror fansite Biohazard Ultimate, Silent Hill: Townfall is set to launch on March 26, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The report also claims that Konami will officially reveal the date during an upcoming Silent Hill Transmission event later this month—an annual broadcast the company often hosts around Halloween.

If true, this could mark the franchise’s third major release in less than two years, continuing a surprising momentum for Silent Hill.

Originally revealed through a cryptic teaser from developer No Code (now Screen Burn Interactive) and publisher Annapurna Interactive, Townfall was teased as an eerie, narrative-driven experience that would reinterpret the series in a fresh way.

Since then, updates have been scarce, leaving many to wonder whether the project had been shelved or quietly reworked behind the scenes. However, recent movements around the developer suggest the fog may soon lift.

Earlier this year, No Code officially rebranded itself to Screen Burn Interactive, explaining that the new name better represents their evolving creative direction. Around the same time, multiple industry trackers noted that the studio was still listed as actively developing Silent Hill: Townfall in collaboration with Konami. This gave fans a glimmer of hope that the project was alive.

    Silent Hill Townfall

Unlike Silent Hill 2 Remake and f, Townfall is rumored to completely abandon combat in favor of exploration, tension, and environmental storytelling. Leaks suggest it will be more akin to P.T. or Silent Hill: The Short Message, relying on atmosphere and psychological unease rather than enemies or weapons.

Some insiders even claim that Townfall will act as the first entry in a new anthology-style series, allowing multiple creative studios to interpret the themes of Silent Hill in their own unique ways.

While Konami hasn’t confirmed the leak, the timing lines up with other hints. The success of Silent Hill f and Silent Hill 2 Remake has sparked renewed interest in the brand, and a March 2026 release window would fit well into Konami’s pacing of annual horror releases. For now, fans are watching closely for the rumored Transmission broadcast—hoping the next descent into the fog is finally on the horizon.
