Ever since Microsoft acquired Activision Blizzard, many fans have eagerly awaited their games to come to the Xbox Game Pass. However, things have been quite silent until recently, as it appears that the first title from their blockbuster franchise will make its way to the service sooner than expected.

Based on a report from Insider Gaming, Microsoft is rumored to be adding Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 to the Xbox Game Pass this month. This news comes in the wake of Microsoft announcing increases in Xbox Game Pass prices and a new subscription tier that omits day-one releases.

Importance: Call of Duty is undoubtedly one of the most famous first-person shooter franchises, and its presence on Xbox Game Pass could significantly boost the gaming subscription service to new heights.

In May, Microsoft revealed that Black Ops 6 would be the first Call of Duty game to debut on Game Pass on its release date, set for October 25, 2024. This would mark a whole new era for Call of Duty, as it would be the first time a title from the franchise would launch on a subscription service.

This is all possible due to Microsoft finalizing a $69 billion deal to acquire Activision Blizzard, the publisher behind Call of Duty, Warcraft, and Diablo, in October 2023. Diablo 4 was the first Activision Blizzard title added to Game Pass in March.

Besides Modern Warfare 3 and Black Ops 6, other Activision Blizzard games expected to join Game Pass include Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy in August, with Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 and Spyro Reignited Trilogy following soon.

Atlas Fallen, developed by Deck13 and published by Focus Entertainment, is also anticipated to join Game Pass shortly.

Additionally, Microsoft has confirmed the latest batch of titles for Xbox Game Pass. Journey to the Savage Planet, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2, Cricket 24, and The Case of the Golden Idol were added earlier this month. Neon White and Tchia are scheduled to join later this week, with Magical Delicacy and Flock arriving in mid-July.

We are excited and looking forward to this new era of Activision Blizzard and how their games perform moving forward, especially on the Xbox Game Pass subscription service. Moreover, we are also eager to see how Xbox Game Pass will shape up in the future.
