Fortnite’s Chapter 6 Season 1 Battle Pass cosmetics are reportedly being prepared for an Item Shop return, potentially making Hunters one of the most significant tests yet of Epic Games’ newer approach to Battle Pass exclusivity. Fortnite leaker HYPEX says the Chapter 6 Season 1 pass is set to return to the Shop soon, although Epic has not yet announced a date, pricing or exactly which rewards will be included.
The report is notable because Chapter 6 Season 1 falls under the policy Epic introduced in August 2024, when it ended permanent exclusivity for future Battle Pass rewards. Epic said items from passes released after the change could appear in the Fortnite Shop at least 18 months after their original Battle Pass expired. The company also made clear that eligibility does not guarantee a return, meaning each Shop appearance remains subject to Epic’s own selection process.
Chapter 6 Season 1, titled Hunters, ran from December 2024 until February 21, 2025. Its Battle Pass included Nyanja, Jade, Kendo, Daigo, Shadow Blade Hope, Hero Baymax and The Night Rose, with Godzilla Evolved arriving later through Battle Pass quests. If the current leak is accurate, at least some of those rewards could soon become purchasable by players who missed the original season.
Epic’s policy allows more than just base Outfits to reappear. Back Blings, Pickaxes, Emotes, Instruments, Wraps, Loading Screens, Banner Icons and other Battle Pass rewards can all be sold after the minimum waiting period, while Bonus Rewards and Quest Rewards are also eligible. Epic has said alternative Styles may vary between Shop appearances, so a returning cosmetic does not necessarily have to include every style that was obtainable during the original pass.
That distinction is especially important for Hunters because several characters received additional styles through the Battle Pass and Bonus Rewards. The original season included variants for Nyanja, Jade, Kendo, Hope, Daigo and The Night Rose, alongside later super styles. Epic has not confirmed which versions would be included if the Chapter 6 Season 1 cosmetics return, and HYPEX’s report does not establish whether the entire pass or only selected bundles are being prepared.
Fortnite has already started using the non-exclusivity system with newer Battle Pass content. Chapter 2 Remix Battle Pass skins returned to the Item Shop as separately priced cosmetics, providing an early example of how Epic can resell former pass rewards without recreating the original Battle Pass progression. Additional datamines have also pointed to Remix Battle Pass bundles returning through later Shop rotations.
Those earlier returns help establish what a Hunters rollout could look like. Rather than reopening the Chapter 6 Season 1 Battle Pass itself, Epic would be expected to sell eligible rewards individually or through themed bundles in the Item Shop. That approach preserves the original advantage of earning multiple items through one Battle Pass while still making selected cosmetics available to newer players later.
The Chapter 6 Season 1 lineup would also be notable because it contains major licensed characters. Hero Baymax comes from Disney’s Big Hero 6, while Godzilla Evolved is based on Toho’s monster franchise. Epic specifically cited licensed characters as one of the reasons it changed its exclusivity rules, saying the newer policy would give players another opportunity to obtain popular crossover content after a Battle Pass ends.
Godzilla’s inclusion in any Shop return should not be assumed, however. Epic’s policy says licensed Battle Pass content may return after 18 months, not that every licensed reward will do so. Separate rights agreements could also affect when or whether individual crossover cosmetics become available again.
The timing is consistent with Epic’s minimum eligibility window. Chapter 6 Season 1 ended on February 21, 2025, placing its 18-month threshold in August 2026. That means the Hunters cosmetics are now old enough to appear under the rules Epic established before the season launched.
For now, the reported Shop return remains a leak rather than an official Fortnite announcement. HYPEX has not provided a firm release date, and Epic has not confirmed which Chapter 6 Season 1 items are coming back or how they will be priced. If the return goes ahead, however, it would further establish former Battle Pass rewards as a recurring part of Fortnite’s Item Shop rather than a rare exception.
