A new Fortnite datamine has revealed detailed abilities for seven unreleased Sprites, including Dumpster Dive, Birthday, Pond, Vampire, Squibbly, Meowscles and Cube. The information was shared by HYPEX and attributed in part to dataminer StinkyPrincessGoose, with several of the leaked abilities including level-by-level values and specific gameplay effects. Epic Games has not announced these abilities, so the details should be treated as unreleased data that could still change before any of the Sprites go live.
The most detailed entry is Dumpster Dive, one of the community-created Sprites Epic has already officially confirmed for Chapter 7 Season 4: Override. According to the datamine, it can cause food to appear when players search containers or destroy eligible props, including barrels, cardboard boxes, mailboxes, safes, shopping carts, garbage containers, food boxes, coolers, ammo boxes and medical boxes. Eating food with the Sprite equipped would also grant an additional 10 health or shield, while higher Sprite levels reportedly improve the quality of the food drops, reaching an Exotic Apple at level four and a Golden Mushroom at level five.
Epic previously confirmed Dumpster Dive as one of the five winners of its Design-A-Sprite competition, crediting StinkyPrincessGoose as its creator. The developer also confirmed that the remaining contest winners would arrive through mid-season updates, but it did not publish the extensive ability data now appearing in the game files. That makes the new leak substantially more specific than the original announcement and suggests Epic has reworked the Sprite’s effect beyond the simpler early concept of gathering loot from dumpsters.
The leaked Pond Sprite has also changed considerably from its original contest concept. Its current files reportedly allow players to trigger a Super Jump by jumping shortly after landing, with as many as three charges available at once. One charge would regenerate every 20, 18, 16, 14 or 12 seconds depending on Sprite level, giving higher-level versions much more frequent access to the movement ability.
Pond was another community winner already named by Epic, alongside Dumpster Dive, Honey, X-Ray and Onigiri. Earlier descriptions of the fan concept focused primarily on improved water movement and greater jumping capability, while the leaked version appears to have evolved into a more direct mobility mechanic. Epic has not confirmed that the current datamined implementation will be the version players ultimately receive.
Birthday Sprite appears designed around Fortnite’s anniversary event. The datamine says opening a chest has a 50%, 60%, 70%, 80% or 100% chance of spawning cake depending on its level, with eliminations also producing cake at the maximum level. Each piece would restore 20 health and 20 shield, tying the Sprite directly into Fortnite’s traditional birthday consumable mechanics and the wider birthday content found in the v42.20 files.
Several other unreleased Sprites have much simpler but potentially powerful effects. Vampire reportedly converts a percentage of damage dealt into siphon, scaling from 10% at level one to 50% at level five. Cube would grant low gravity, while Meowscles is said to increase weapon swap speed and Squibbly would allow players to dive into fishing holes to immediately generate their loot.
The Vampire ability could be particularly significant in Battle Royale if those percentages survive testing, as a 50% siphon rate at maximum level would give aggressive players substantial sustain during prolonged fights. The leak does not establish whether there are caps, cooldowns or other balancing rules attached to the effect. Those details may exist elsewhere in the files or could be added before release.
The Sprite system has become an increasingly large part of Override, with Epic using new generations, levels and abilities to change both combat and utility. Recent datamines have already exposed unreleased crossover Sprites tied to properties such as Cyberpunk , Pac-Man, Crash Bandicoot and The Witcher, while Crash Bandicoot’s leaked Whirlwind ability showed how elaborate some collaboration-specific powers can become.
The newly uncovered original Sprites appear to follow the same philosophy, covering healing, mobility, siphon, looting, gravity and combat-speed bonuses rather than relying on purely cosmetic differences. That variety would give players more reason to build their Sprite collection around particular playstyles, especially as higher levels substantially improve several of the leaked effects.
Epic has officially confirmed Dumpster Dive and Pond as upcoming community Sprites, but it has not announced release dates for them or formally revealed Birthday, Vampire, Squibbly, Meowscles and Cube with the abilities described in the datamine. Until those Sprites are activated or Epic publishes their final specifications, every value and mechanic in the leaked files remains subject to change.
