Importance: Fans of Guerrilla Games’ long-dormant FPS franchise, Killzone, have eagerly awaited its return. While a new installment appears unlikely, a rumored crossover could be the next major development.
If true, this would mark the game’s first-ever crossover event. Much like past Premium Warbonds, Righteous Revenants is expected to feature armor, weapons, and items inspired by Killzone.
One leaked armor set, the “AC-1 Dutiful,” clearly showcases the Killzone aesthetic, complete with its signature red eyes, gas mask, and somber tactical colors.
Dataminers suggest this Warbond may release soon, potentially taking precedence over the Urban Legends Warbond due to prior UI issues. With Urban Legends having launched alongside Omens of Tyranny, Righteous Revenants could be next in line.
The sci-fi military themes shared by Killzone and Helldivers 2 make this crossover a natural fit. It also arrives at an ideal time, as Guerrilla Games has officially moved on from the Killzone franchise, leaving fans eager for any form of acknowledgment.
