Nintendo has announced Kirby and the World Beyond, an all-new 3D Kirby adventure coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch 2 in spring 2027. The title itself also suggests that the new setting will play an important role. The trailer presents an apparently peaceful environment before hinting that there is something beyond the world Kirby initially inhabits, giving the game a more mysterious setup than its colorful opening might suggest. World Beyond continues an unusually active period for the franchise on Nintendo Switch 2. Kirby and the Forgotten Land received its Switch 2 Edition and Star-Crossed World expansion in 2025, while Kirby Air Riders also gave the series another major release on the system. The newly announced game will now carry the main 3D platforming side of the franchise forward with an adventure designed specifically for Nintendo’s newer hardware.
