A previously unannounced Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds – Year One Edition has appeared on Amazon UK, pointing to a new physical PS5 release that packages the game with its first year of paid DLC. The listing currently shows a £54.99 price and a November 3, 2026 release date, with pre-orders available. Sega has not formally announced the Year One Edition, so the retailer listing should be treated as an early disclosure until the publisher confirms the release.

The listing was first spotted by members of the Sonic community before being highlighted by VGC. At the time of writing, only a PlayStation 5 version has surfaced, with no equivalent Year One Edition listings located for Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2. It is therefore unclear whether the package will remain a PS5-specific physical release or whether additional versions simply have not appeared yet.

The name strongly suggests the edition will bundle Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds with its complete Year One paid content, although Amazon’s appearance ahead of an official Sega announcement leaves some details unconfirmed. CrossWorlds originally launched with a Digital Deluxe Edition that included access to the Season Pass, but physical copies have so far been based on the Standard Edition. A Year One Edition would therefore provide a way for physical PS5 buyers to obtain the base game and its first paid DLC cycle as one package.

That first Season Pass consists of six crossover DLC packs. Minecraft opened the paid lineup with Steve, Alex and Creeper alongside a Minecraft-themed course and vehicle, followed by SpongeBob SquarePants content featuring SpongeBob and Patrick. Pac-Man arrived in the third wave, while Mega Man and Proto Man were added through the fourth crossover.

The fifth paid pack brought Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo and Donatello from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem into the roster. The sixth and final Year One pack is based on Avatar Legends and is scheduled to arrive in October, shortly before the November 3 date shown for the Year One Edition. Once that content is released, the game’s first paid DLC cycle will effectively be complete.

The £54.99 listing price is also notable because it is lower than buying the products separately at their standard UK prices. Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds normally carries a £64.99 digital price on current-generation platforms, while its Season Pass is sold separately for £24.99. If Amazon’s £54.99 price remains in place and the package does include the entire Season Pass, the Year One Edition would represent a substantial discount compared with purchasing the base game and paid DLC independently.

Paid crossover content is only part of the game’s post-launch expansion. Sega has also added numerous free racers from its own franchises and other properties, including Hatsune Miku, Persona’s Joker, Ichiban Kasuga and Goro Majima from Like a Dragon, NiGHTS, AiAi, Tangle and Whisper, Arle from Puyo Puyo, Classic Sonic, Crazy Taxi’s Axel and Samba de Amigo’s Amigo. By the end of the first year’s paid content, the overall roster is expected to reach 59 racers.

CrossWorlds will not stop receiving major content once the Year One cycle ends. Sega has already confirmed plans for a second-year pass containing another six paid collaborations, with Godzilla and Evangelion revealed as the first two properties involved. That makes the Year One Edition’s branding particularly logical, separating the original Season Pass from the next wave of crossover content planned for 2027.

For now, the Amazon listing remains the only concrete evidence of the new edition, and Sega has not confirmed its contents, packaging or availability outside the UK. The November 3 date falls shortly after the final first-year DLC is due to arrive, which would make it a natural point to repackage the game with its completed initial Season Pass. Unless the listing changes or is removed, an official announcement may follow as Sega prepares to transition Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds into its second year of post-launch support.
