Amazon Games, Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog have released a new trailer for Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis to celebrate the franchise’s 30th anniversary. The teaser, revealed on October 25, 2026, features additional gameplay and cinematic footage from the upcoming reimagining of Lara Croft’s original adventure.
The footage was unveiled as part of the anniversary celebrations at TR30 Derby and MCM London. It highlights familiar elements from the original Tomb Raider, including Lara’s signature dual pistols, dangerous creatures, environmental traversal and recognizable locations rebuilt with modern graphics.
The new teaser offers another look at the game’s action sequences, with Lara using firearms against hostile creatures while navigating ancient structures. Footage also shows her swinging across gaps and moving through environments that draw on the atmosphere and level design of the 1996 release.

Rather than introducing a new gameplay system or announcing additional platforms, the trailer focuses on recognizable moments and encounters that longtime Tomb Raider players will remember. The emphasis is on how those sequences have been recreated for the upcoming release.
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is being developed by Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog using Unreal Engine 5. Unlike a straightforward visual remaster, the project reimagines the original game with expanded environments, redesigned puzzles, modernized combat and additional story elements.
The adventure follows Lara Croft as she travels across the world in search of the secrets of Atlantis. Locations include Peru, Greece and Egypt, with familiar environments redesigned to support more extensive exploration.
Previously released gameplay footage demonstrated how the developers have expanded Peru’s Lost Valley. Areas that were originally separated into individual rooms now feature more interconnected layouts, allowing players to approach puzzles and exploration challenges from different directions.
The developers have also confirmed that recognizable puzzles, including the original game’s cog puzzle, have been redesigned with new mechanics. Lara’s movement incorporates climbing, acrobatics and a grappling hook, while combat retains her iconic dual pistols alongside other weapons.
These changes were detailed in earlier announcements, meaning the anniversary teaser primarily provides additional footage of existing features rather than revealing an entirely new direction for the game.
The trailer arrives during celebrations marking 30 years since the original Tomb Raider debuted in October 1996. The first game established Lara Croft as one of gaming’s most recognizable characters, combining exploration, platforming, environmental puzzles and combat in a globe-spanning adventure.
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis remains scheduled for February 12, 2027, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC through Steam. The anniversary announcement does not change that release date.
Pre-orders are already available on PlayStation, Xbox and Steam, with Standard, Deluxe and Collector’s Editions announced. The Deluxe Edition includes a post-launch story DLC pack, an additional outfit and a 48-hour early-access pre-order bonus. Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders are expected to open separately.
The new anniversary teaser provides another preview of how Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog are bringing Lara Croft’s first adventure to modern platforms ahead of its February launch.
