A previously unseen trailer for Transformers: Reactivate, the canceled action game developed by Splash Damage, has surfaced online, revealing new gameplay footage, environments and characters from a later version of the project. The footage also suggests the game had moved away from its earlier free-to-play plans toward a premium release with a story campaign.
The trailer was shared on October 26, 2026, by X user EnderGuyZV2, who is associated with efforts to preserve material from the canceled game. Described by the uploader as the project’s final trailer, the video contains cinematic sequences alongside brief gameplay clips featuring Autobots and Decepticons.
The footage opens with Optimus Prime discussing an invasion by the Legion, an alien enemy threatening the galaxy. Subsequent sequences show Transformers battling hostile creatures, navigating environments and transforming into vehicles.

Several recognizable characters appear, including Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Ironhide and Megatron. The trailer depicts combat involving ranged weapons and melee attacks, while some sequences suggest that players would have been able to control characters from both the Autobots and Decepticons.
The environments reportedly include New York City, the Nevada desert and Cybertron. These locations provide a broader look at the game’s intended scope than the gameplay footage that emerged shortly after its cancellation in January 2025.
An introductory message attached to the leaked video claims Transformers: Reactivate had undergone a significant change in direction during development. According to the uploader, the project had moved away from its original free-to-play approach and was being developed as a $70 premium game featuring a complete story campaign playable alone or through optional online co-op.
The same message suggests the internal trailer may have been prepared as part of an effort to attract additional publishing investment. However, that explanation remains speculative, and Splash Damage has not publicly verified the trailer’s development history, proposed pricing or the circumstances surrounding its creation.
Transformers: Reactivate was originally announced at The Game Awards in December 2022 as a cooperative action game for PC and consoles. Its initial premise involved Autobots and Decepticons confronting a powerful extraterrestrial threat known as the Legion, with support for up to four players.
Splash Damage confirmed the project’s cancellation in January 2025, announcing that development had ended as the studio redirected its resources toward other projects. The decision also placed several development roles at risk of redundancy.
The newly circulated footage joins a growing collection of material from unfinished games that has emerged after their cancellation. Other examples include gameplay footage from the canceled Perfect Dark reboot and leaked gameplay material from Ubisoft's canceled Project U.
Although the Transformers: Reactivate trailer offers a more extensive look at the project’s intended campaign and combat systems, it does not establish how close the game was to completion. The footage also has not been officially authenticated by Splash Damage.
There has been no announcement suggesting that Transformers: Reactivate has resumed development. The leaked trailer instead provides another glimpse of the project before its cancellation.
