Black Ops 6 has been one of the most anticipated Call of Duty titles from Activision in a while, as it marks a return to the Black Ops series, which many believe could be one of the franchise’s strongest entries in a long time.

Recent information further supports this potential, as it was revealed on the game’s official Steam page that a total of eight studios have worked on the upcoming Call of Duty Black Ops 6.

Why it matters: Activision owns some of the biggest and highest-quality studios in the gaming industry. The involvement of all these studios in the new Call of Duty title increases the likelihood of a great game.

The eight studios involved are Treyarch, Raven Software, Beenox, High Moon Studios, Activision Shanghai, Sledgehammer Games, Infinity Ward, and Demonware.

Treyarch is the lead studio behind Black Ops 6, as they created the original Black Ops franchise. However, Raven Software has also been heavily involved in recent Black Ops entries like Cold War.

Sledgehammer Games, the main developer behind Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 last year, is also working on Black Ops 6, along with Infinity Ward. The support studios for the game include Beenox, High Moon Studios, Activision Shanghai, and Demonware.

This trend of multiple studios collaborating on Call of Duty titles seems to be becoming a recurring theme with Activision, as they did the same with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, which had seven developers working on it.

We are set to get a first look at the game on June 9 after the Xbox Games Showcase, as a special Call of Duty direct has been planned to reveal the in-depth gameplay of the upcoming title and more. It has also been confirmed that the game would be a Day one on the Xbox Game Pass.

Xbox’s individual direct for Starfield generated a lot of hype, and Black Ops 6 has the potential to surpass that excitement, as the Call of Duty franchise is one of the biggest in the world.

We are very excited for the upcoming Call of Duty direct and cannot wait to see how the new game shapes up. We hope it doesn’t turn out like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, which disappointed many. We’re looking forward to a strong new entry in the Call of Duty franchise.
