The Nintendo Switch 2 has been a topic of much anticipation since its announcement, and with its reveal expected next year, several alleged leaks have surfaced, offering details about Nintendo’s upcoming hybrid console. These leaks have sparked curiosity, with fans eager to learn more about the successor to the popular Nintendo Switch.

A recent leak by an ‘undercover journalist’ known as NextHandheld suggested that the Switch 2 could feature a unique matte black, blue and orange color scheme.

Now, the leaker has shared an image of what appears to be an orange and matte black Joy Con. While NextHandheld has not provided detailed information, the image shared only depicts a specific part of the console.

This has led to speculation that the console’s body might be matte black, with orange limited to one strap, and blue to the other.

Importance: The Switch 2 represents a significant leap forward for Nintendo, making it crucial for the company to ensure its design appeals to its audience. Choosing a well-balanced color combination will be essential in creating a design that resonates with players.

Adding to the speculation, a user on X created a rendition of what the console might look like with the suggested colors, showcasing a potential design that features a matte black and white body with orange and blue straps.

This rendition has gained attention, with many appreciating its sleek and modern aesthetic. If accurate, the color combination could set the Switch 2 apart as a visually distinctive console.

However, it’s important to take these leaks with a grain of salt. NextHandheld’s credibility remains unproven, and some claim the leaked images may have been generated using AI. Until Nintendo releases official details, all design rumors remain speculative.

One area where fans are particularly hopeful is in the variety of color options at launch. The original Switch had limited choices, and many are hoping the Switch 2 offers a broader selection of colors to cater to different preferences.

Beyond its design, the Switch 2 is rumored to be a more powerful console with backward compatibility for Switch titles, making it an appealing option for both new and existing players.

On that note, what are your thoughts on the rumored matte black, orange, and blue color scheme? Would you like to see these colors or something entirely different? Let us know in the comments section.
