Fortnite is reportedly adding a Sonic the Hedgehog Jam Track later this week, according to several prominent Fortnite leakers. FireMonkey, HYPEX and ShiinaBR all separately identified “Green Hill: Act 2 – Normal” as the track expected to arrive. Epic Games has not announced the release, so its timing should still be treated as unconfirmed until the track appears in-game or receives an official listing.
The reported track comes from Sonic Generations, where “Green Hill: Act 2 – Normal” accompanies the modern Sonic version of Green Hill. The composition is associated with Jun Senoue and reworks the music from the series’ original Green Hill Zone into the faster style used for Sonic Generations’ modern stage. Fortnite’s leaked listing uses the track’s game-specific title rather than simply referring to it as the original Green Hill Zone theme.
If released, the song would become part of Fortnite’s Jam Track system. Jam Tracks can be used in Fortnite Festival, played as loops while jamming with other players and equipped for several music-related functions elsewhere in Fortnite. Epic has also expanded their use in Battle Royale, where owned tracks can be played through the Jam Track player and equipped as intro or Victory Royale celebration music.
The timing fits Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4: Override, which has placed gaming crossovers at the center of the season. Epic’s official season announcement includes Sonic the Hedgehog alongside other gaming properties and lets players race through Green Hill Zone using Sonic’s Power Sneakers. The season has continued adding crossover content over time rather than releasing every collaboration component at launch.
Sonic has already received broader representation during Override. Datamines have pointed to a Sonic Rift Anomaly built around timed races, Sprites and power-ups, while files have also exposed abilities for a Sonic Ring Sprite among several crossover-themed Sprites. The reported Jam Track would extend the collaboration into Fortnite’s music systems rather than adding another Battle Royale mechanic.
The leak is also notable because players had expected Sonic music to accompany the crossover earlier in the season. Community discussion in August focused on the absence of Sonic Jam Tracks despite the franchise’s large catalog of recognizable music, and earlier leaked material suggested music content had at least been considered. That history makes the appearance of a specific Green Hill track in current leak reporting more concrete, although it still does not guarantee release until Epic activates it.
Fortnite has increasingly used licensed video game music as Jam Tracks during recent collaborations. Kingdom Hearts tracks were recently linked to that crossover, while other gaming properties have also received music items alongside cosmetics or gameplay content. A Sonic track would therefore fit an established pattern of expanding collaborations beyond skins and weapons into Festival and Fortnite’s wider music ecosystem.
None of the leakers provided a confirmed V-Bucks price in the initial reports, and Epic’s official Fortnite news pages do not currently list the Green Hill track. Standard individually sold Jam Tracks frequently cost 500 V-Bucks, but that should not be assumed for this release until an Item Shop listing appears. Likewise, the phrase “later this week” provides only a broad launch window rather than a confirmed store date.
For now, the strongest claim supported by the leak is that “Green Hill: Act 2 – Normal” is expected to arrive in Fortnite as a Jam Track during the current week. FireMonkey, HYPEX and ShiinaBR are all reporting the same track, providing unusual consistency across Fortnite leak accounts, but Epic Games has yet to make the addition official.
