Volcano Princess will receive a free Complete Edition update on Steam on October 30, 2026, bringing new story content, exploration dungeons, voice acting and localization improvements to the PC version. Publisher Gamirror Games announced the release date on October 27, confirming that existing Steam owners will receive the enhancements introduced with the game’s console and mobile releases earlier this year at no additional cost.
Developed by Egg Hatcher, Volcano Princess originally launched on Steam in April 2023. The fantasy parenting simulation places players in the role of a widowed father raising his daughter in the Volcano Kingdom. Players guide her education, relationships and personal development, with their decisions influencing her future and the game’s numerous possible endings.
The upcoming Steam update incorporates the additions introduced in Volcano Princess Complete Edition, which launched for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android on July 30, 2026. Among the changes are newly written story sequences, additional character illustrations, new exploration dungeons and extra outfits.
Voice acting is another major improvement. The Complete Edition introduces expanded Japanese voice performances, with Mai Nakahara returning as the daughter, alongside cast members including Marina Inoue and Kento Ito. The update also brings revised Japanese and English translations and adds Traditional Chinese language support.
These improvements extend beyond additional dialogue and presentation. New story scenes provide more narrative material, while the added dungeons expand the activities available during the daughter’s upbringing. Together, the additions bring the original PC release closer to feature parity with the enhanced versions released on other platforms.
The Steam upgrade has been planned since the Complete Edition was announced in July. At the time, Egg Hatcher confirmed that existing PC players would receive its additional features without purchasing a separate edition, with an October release initially targeted. The October 27 announcement establishes October 30 as the update’s release date.
The developer previously explained that making the enhancements free was intended to recognize the support of players who helped establish Volcano Princess following its original Steam launch. The update will therefore expand the existing game rather than require owners to purchase the Complete Edition separately.
Volcano Princess is also available on Xbox Series X|S, although a corresponding Complete Edition update for that version has not been announced as of October 27.
The October 30 release will make the new content and localization improvements available to Steam players more than three months after their initial debut on PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and mobile devices.
