Dell has started selling the Alienware AW3226Q, a 31.5-inch 4K OLED gaming monitor featuring a new Tandem WOLED panel with an RGB-stripe subpixel layout. Originally unveiled at IFA 2026 in September, the monitor is now available to order directly from Dell in Germany for €749, with deliveries currently estimated for November 4.
The AW3226Q combines a 3840 × 2160 resolution with a maximum refresh rate of 165Hz, targeting gamers who want high-resolution OLED visuals alongside fast refresh rates. Its main distinction is the RGB-stripe arrangement, designed to improve text clarity and reduce the colored fringing associated with some earlier OLED subpixel layouts.
Dell describes the display as using next-generation RGB-stripe Tandem OLED technology, with improvements to color purity, text rendering, HDR presentation, and black levels. The panel also features an anti-reflective glossy coating intended to preserve image clarity while reducing reflections.

The monitor offers a pixel density of approximately 140 pixels per inch and supports 10-bit color, covering 99% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. Dell specifies a typical brightness of 250 nits and peak HDR brightness of 1,000 nits under limited screen-area conditions.
HDR support includes VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification and Dolby Vision. The OLED panel also delivers a claimed 0.03ms gray-to-gray response time in its Extreme mode, although that figure represents Dell’s specification rather than independently verified performance.
For gaming, the AW3226Q supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility, allowing variable refresh rate operation with supported graphics hardware. This helps synchronize the display’s refresh rate with changing frame rates, reducing screen tearing during gameplay.
Connectivity includes one DisplayPort 1.4 input, two HDMI 2.1 ports, a USB-C data connection with up to 15W power delivery, and two USB-A ports. The monitor also supports picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture modes for displaying multiple inputs.
Unlike certain competing gaming monitors, the AW3226Q does not include a dual-mode feature that switches to a lower resolution for higher refresh rates. Its maximum refresh rate remains 165Hz at 4K, positioning it differently from the 720Hz and 540Hz OLED gaming monitors from ASUS, which prioritize substantially higher refresh rates for competitive gaming.
The AW3226Q also competes with the ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG32UCWM, which uses the same RGB-stripe Tandem WOLED panel. However, the ASUS model adds a dual-mode feature and DisplayPort 2.1 connectivity, while carrying a considerably higher European price of more than €1,200.
Dell includes a three-year warranty covering OLED burn-in, alongside panel-care features intended to reduce the risk of permanent image retention.
At €749 in Germany, the AW3226Q offers a less expensive entry point into 32-inch RGB-stripe Tandem WOLED technology than the comparable ASUS model. The monitor is also available in the United States for $699.99 and the United Kingdom for £649, although regional pricing and delivery dates vary.
The launch also arrives amid wider attention to reported Dell monitor price increases in October, making the confirmed retail price particularly relevant to buyers comparing premium gaming displays.
With orders now open, the Alienware AW3226Q joins the growing selection of 4K OLED gaming monitors, offering an alternative for players who prioritize text clarity, HDR support, and a 165Hz refresh rate over the highest available competitive gaming refresh rates.
