Funcom has confirmed that Aloft and Conan Exiles Enhanced will launch on PlayStation 5 in early 2027, bringing two open-world survival experiences to Sony’s current-generation console. Aloft will make its console debut with its complete 1.0 experience, while Conan Exiles Enhanced will be available as a free upgrade for existing PlayStation owners.
The announcement was made on October 27, 2026, through the official PlayStation Blog by Funcom Communications Manager Jarle Hrafn Grindhaug. Both games are available to wishlist on the PlayStation Store, although specific release dates have not yet been announced.
Aloft is a cooperative sandbox survival game developed by Astrolabe Interactive and published by Funcom. Set across floating islands high above the clouds, the game allows players to transform islands into flying vessels, construct homes, explore the skies, and restore damaged ecosystems.

The upcoming PS5 version will include all five major content updates released during the game’s PC Early Access period, alongside the complete 1.0 experience. These updates have introduced additional wildlife, puzzles, combat improvements, glider customization, and expanded exploration systems.
Players can explore alone or with friends, discover lost knowledge, care for animals, and tackle environmental threats such as fungal corruption and hurricanes. The full release will also introduce new content, stories, and improvements beyond the existing Early Access experience.
Aloft’s arrival on PS5 represents its first console release following several years of development and its initial availability on PC.
Conan Exiles Enhanced, meanwhile, brings Funcom’s established survival game to PS5 with upgraded visuals, improved performance, and additional gameplay features.
The Enhanced edition introduces improvements to environments, character models, lighting, and visual effects. It also features a redesigned user interface and quality-of-life changes intended to streamline building, exploration, and other survival activities.
One of the most significant additions is improved integration between the Exiled Lands and the Isle of Siptah expansion, allowing players to move between the regions more seamlessly. However, Isle of Siptah will continue to require a separate purchase.
Existing Conan Exiles owners on PlayStation will receive the PS5 Enhanced edition at no additional cost. Funcom also confirmed that the PS4 and PS5 versions will remain available to purchase, with ownership of either version granting access to the other.
Previously purchased downloadable content and Bazaar items will carry over from PS4 to PS5, allowing returning players to retain their existing purchases when upgrading.
The PS5 release will also include the Legacy of the Giant-Kings story arc at launch. This storyline introduces mysteries surrounding the ancient Giant-Kings, additional challenges, and new rewards for players exploring the Exiled Lands.
Conan Exiles Enhanced originally launched on Steam in May 2026 as a free upgrade to the PC version, introducing Unreal Engine 5 technology alongside graphical improvements and expanded gameplay systems. The newly confirmed PS5 release extends those enhancements to PlayStation players.
Funcom has not yet provided detailed PS5 performance targets, resolution specifications, or separate release dates for either game.
Both Aloft and Conan Exiles Enhanced are scheduled for early 2027, with additional launch information expected to be announced closer to their respective releases.
