Bandai has opened pre-registration for Digimon Alysion, its upcoming free-to-play digital card game, on iOS and Android in 49 countries and regions. Players can now pre-register through the Apple App Store and Google Play ahead of the game’s planned 2026 release.
The announcement also brings new details about the game’s Story Mode, exclusive cards and competitive features. Based on the existing Digimon Card Game, Digimon Alysion aims to recreate the physical trading card game’s mechanics on mobile devices while introducing original content.
Digimon Alysion retains the card game’s core systems, including its Memory Gauge and Digivolution mechanics. Players build decks, deploy Digimon, evolve their cards and attack opponents, with victory achieved by breaking through the opposing player’s security and landing a final attack.

Alongside digital versions of existing Digimon cards, the mobile game will introduce new cards exclusive to Alysion. Bandai has also confirmed ranked matches and tournaments, giving competitive players ways to test their decks against other players.
The game takes place in the world of Digimon Liberator, the webcomic and light novel series connected to the Digimon Card Game. Its original Story Mode follows Kanata Hondo, a newcomer to card games who enters the virtual world of Liberator after being introduced to it by her online friend Futre.
Story Mode will also function as an introduction to the card game’s rules and systems. Players can learn the mechanics through guided battles while progressing through the narrative, providing an entry point for those unfamiliar with the physical trading card game.
Bandai has revealed several characters and their Japanese voice actors. Kanata Hondo is voiced by Shu Uchida, while Futre is portrayed by Hikari Kubota. The cast also includes Fairouz Ai as Valner Dragnogh, Miyuki Sawashiro as Renamon and Ayumu Murase as Aliol.
The pre-registration announcement is accompanied by new promotional footage and a trailer highlighting the BD-01 New Evolution card pack.
Digimon Alysion will support Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and Korean as system languages. Card languages will include Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese and Korean. The game will be free to download, with optional in-app purchases.
Although the Apple App Store currently displays December 23, 2026, as the expected release date, Bandai has not officially confirmed that date. Its announcement continues to list the launch as planned for 2026, meaning the storefront date should not yet be treated as final.
Pre-registration is available now in supported regions, with further release information expected from Bandai.
