SNK has announced that Reina from Tekken 8 will join Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves as a downloadable playable character in December 2026. The crossover was revealed on October 9 through an official announcement trailer, confirming that the Tekken fighter will occupy the previously undisclosed final character slot in the game’s Season 3 lineup. Reina becomes the latest guest character to enter South Town as SNK continues expanding its fighting game with characters from other franchises.
The announcement confirms that Reina will appear as the seventh DLC fighter included in Season 3, which features a mixture of returning Fatal Fury characters and crossover additions. While SNK has confirmed her December release window, the company has not announced an exact launch date. The reveal also establishes another collaboration between SNK and Bandai Namco’s Tekken franchise, following earlier crossover appearances involving characters from both series.
Reina originally debuted in Tekken 8 as a mysterious fighter associated with the Mishima family. Known for her aggressive fighting style, rapid attacks, and lightning-themed presentation, she quickly became one of the newer characters associated with the series. Her appearance in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves will introduce those characteristics into SNK’s different combat system, although the announcement does not yet detail how all of her existing techniques will translate into the game.

According to SNK’s official character description, Reina is a student at the Mishima Polytechnical School whose background remains largely unknown. The company describes her as cheerful on the surface but capable of revealing a ruthless personality during combat. After arriving in South Town, she decides to enter the King of Fighters tournament, providing the narrative explanation for her appearance alongside the Fatal Fury roster.
The Japanese voice performance will be provided by Asami Seto, while Kate Clarke will voice Reina in English. Both actors are associated with the character in Tekken 8, allowing the crossover to retain her established voice performances. The announcement trailer introduces Reina as part of the collaboration, but SNK has not yet provided a complete gameplay breakdown or detailed technical information about her moveset in City of the Wolves.
Reina’s addition completes the previously announced Season 3 character schedule. The season began with Rick Strowd in July, followed by Duck King in August and Kim Kaphwan in September. October introduces Manjiro Sano and Ken Ryuguji from Tokyo Revengers, while Laocorn is scheduled for November. Reina will conclude the season in December, bringing the total number of announced Season 3 DLC characters to seven.
The latest reveal also provides a confirmed addition to the roster while speculation continues about other possible fighters. Earlier datamined character references involving Li Xiangfei and Panni suggested that SNK could have additional characters under consideration. Those discoveries have not established future DLC plans, however, and Reina’s announcement should not be treated as confirmation of any other rumored fighters.
Crossovers have become an increasingly visible part of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves since its original release in April 2025. The game has already featured Street Fighter characters Ken Masters and Chun-Li, while its Season 3 plans extend beyond traditional fighting game franchises through the Tokyo Revengers collaboration. Reina represents another recognizable addition, bringing a character from one of the genre’s largest 3D fighting series into SNK’s 2D fighting environment.
Her inclusion also arrives as SNK prepares to expand the game’s availability to another platform. Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is currently available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store. A Nintendo Switch 2 version is scheduled to launch digitally on October 22, with an edition that includes all three season passes.
For existing players, Reina adds another character with a distinct fighting identity to the expanding roster. However, SNK has not yet confirmed her exact December release date or demonstrated the full extent of her combat mechanics. More gameplay information and specific availability details are expected closer to her launch.
