New Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves datamining has uncovered Rick Strowd victory dialogue that appears to reference several unannounced fighters, including Li Xiangfei and a water-using character believed to be Panni. The findings were shared by a community dataminer who extracted and organized Rick’s unused matchup lines, with several references appearing specific enough to point toward future playable characters. SNK has not announced any of these fighters, so the discoveries remain unconfirmed until the company reveals additional DLC.
The clearest reference is to Xiangfei. Two unused Rick Strowd lines directly mention her by name and refer to visiting her restaurant for Chinese food, making Li Xiangfei the strongest identification in the new batch of data. Xiangfei debuted in Real Bout Fatal Fury 2 and has not yet been officially announced for City of the Wolves, but the explicit naming makes this substantially stronger evidence than a generic matchup quote.
Another pair of lines describes an opponent using water to make Rick slip, leading the dataminer to identify the character as Panni. Panni appeared as one of Laocorn Gaudeamus’ allies in Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture and uses water-based abilities, fitting the dialogue closely. Laocorn himself is already officially scheduled to join City of the Wolves in November as part of Season Pass 3, so Panni appearing in later DLC would establish another connection to that corner of the Fatal Fury series.

Other lines are more ambiguous. One opponent is described as making things “windy,” which was initially interpreted as potentially referring to Alfred, though community analysis has also suggested Hauer, another character associated with Laocorn who uses wind-based abilities. Another opponent is praised for powerful punches, while separate dialogue refers to a particularly unusual “battle of the minds,” prompting speculation that White from Real Bout Fatal Fury Special: Dominated Mind could eventually appear. Those identifications are considerably less certain than Xiangfei and should be treated as interpretations rather than confirmed names.
The datamine arrives while SNK is midway through its third season of City of the Wolves DLC. Rick Strowd launched in July, Duck King followed in August, and Kim Kaphwan is scheduled for September 24. Manjiro “Mikey” Sano and Ken “Draken” Ryuguji from Tokyo Revengers are confirmed for October, followed by Laocorn in November and one still-unannounced character in December.
That official schedule has already changed considerably from some of the game’s earliest datamined assumptions. Several characters eventually added to Seasons 2 and 3 were not present in the original predictions, while others that appeared in early data have yet to materialize. The Switch 2 version arriving October 22 will also launch alongside the Tokyo Revengers additions, giving SNK another major platform release while Season 3 continues.
Separate community analysis of the game’s character IDs has also raised the possibility that SNK is planning support beyond Season 3. Earlier file examinations reportedly found additional playable-character slots that could accommodate enough fighters for a fourth and fifth season, and potentially a sixth depending on how SNK groups future releases. Previous datamines have also associated names such as Gao, Franz Krauser von Stroheim, Alfred, Ryo Sakazaki and Kasumi Todoh with unused character data, although their eventual inclusion and release order remain uncertain.
The new Rick Strowd dialogue strengthens the case that City of the Wolves still has a substantial amount of post-launch content planned, but the files should not be treated as a fixed roadmap. SNK has already demonstrated that character plans and release orders can change during development. For now, Li Xiangfei stands out as the most directly supported new name in the latest datamine, while Panni and several other potential fighters remain plausible but unofficial.
