Fortnite’s Mega Man crossover has received a new trailer showcasing Mega Man, Mega Man X and Zero together in Epic Games’ battle royale. The footage arrives after several days of teasers, decrypted cosmetics and official Mega Man Cup events, giving the collaboration its clearest promotional showcase yet. Multiple established Fortnite dataminers, including HYPEX, FireMonkey and ShiinaBR, say the cosmetics are scheduled to enter the Item Shop on September 10.
The crossover contains three separate outfits rather than treating the different Mega Man characters as selectable styles of a single skin. Mega Man uses his design from Capcom’s upcoming Mega Man: Dual Override, while X and Zero represent the Mega Man X side of the franchise. Their inclusion had already been revealed through decrypted game files, but the trailer brings the trio together in finished promotional material ahead of the reported shop release.
The complete cosmetic set extends beyond those three characters. Datamined shop information points to two back blings, three pickaxes, an emote and Rush as a Sidekick, while all three outfits also include LEGO Fortnite styles. Additional selectable styles uncovered in the game files include options such as Black Zero and alternative visual treatments, giving the characters several looks beyond their standard appearances.

Epic Games has already publicly acknowledged the crossover through Fortnite Competitive. The official competitive site hosted Mega Man Cup events on September 8 across Battle Royale, Zero Build and mobile formats, with top-performing players able to earn the Mega Man X Outfit before its wider release. Players were also offered cosmetic rewards tied to their performance, with Mega Man Cup rewards and regional placement requirements surfacing around the same events.
That official tournament support removes any doubt about the collaboration itself, although Epic’s public Fortnite Item Shop was not yet listing the Mega Man set when the latest trailer began circulating. The September 10 timing therefore remains based on information from Fortnite dataminers rather than a currently visible Item Shop listing from Epic. FireMonkey reports that the set is expected to arrive at the standard shop refresh at 8 p.m. ET on September 10.
Mega Man has already had a presence in Fortnite’s current season beyond cosmetics. The Mega Buster appears as part of the Chapter 7 Season 4: Override content, tying the Capcom collaboration directly into gameplay rather than restricting it to character outfits. Epic’s official Mega Man Cup description also specifically references the weapon while presenting the competition around the Blue Bomber.
The collaboration arrives while Capcom is preparing Mega Man: Dual Override, the next major entry in the long-running series. Using that game’s version of Mega Man alongside the familiar X and Zero designs gives the Fortnite set representation from multiple eras of the franchise. Zero in particular had become one of the more closely watched additions after teaser material began circulating ahead of the full cosmetic decryption.
Fortnite collaborations frequently unfold in stages, with in-game files and competitive events revealing details before everything appears in the Item Shop. The Mega Man crossover followed that pattern closely: tournament listings provided official confirmation, dataminers exposed the wider cosmetic lineup, and the new promotional footage now presents the characters together just before their expected general release.
Barring a last-minute scheduling change, Mega Man, Mega Man X, Zero and the accompanying accessories are expected to become purchasable when the Fortnite Item Shop refreshes on September 10. Exact V-Bucks pricing for the individual cosmetics and complete bundle should be treated as unconfirmed until the offers appear through Epic’s storefront. For now, the trailer provides the strongest look yet at how Capcom’s characters have been adapted for Fortnite.
