Fortnite’s Mega Man crossover has yielded another round of decrypted details, this time revealing the alternate styles reportedly included with Mega Man, X and Zero. According to Fortnite leaker SpushFNBR, citing newly surfaced cosmetic images from Luwwani, Mega Man includes Atomic Fire, helmet-off and no-cel-shading options, while X receives a no-cel-shading variant. Zero reportedly comes with both a black alternate look and an option that removes cel shading.

The latest information follows the full decryption of Fortnite’s Mega Man cosmetic set, which established that the collaboration contains separate Mega Man, X and Zero outfits alongside the Rush Sidekick and multiple accessories. Earlier encrypted-file information had indicated that several of the outfits contained multiple selectable styles, but it did not initially reveal exactly what those variants represented. The newly decrypted images provide a much clearer picture of how Epic is handling those customization options.

Mega Man appears to receive the largest selection. His Atomic Fire style changes his appearance to reference the special weapon obtained from Heat Man in Mega Man 2, while the helmet-off option presents the classic character without his familiar blue headgear. A separate no-cel-shading setting appears intended to remove Fortnite’s outlined stylized rendering and give the character a more conventional in-game material treatment.

X’s options appear considerably simpler. The Mega Man X protagonist reportedly has only a no-cel-shading alternate style beyond his standard appearance, without an additional armor or color variant identified in the latest material. That still gives players a choice between the crossover’s stylized presentation and a more traditionally rendered Fortnite model, but the currently surfaced files do not point to alternative X armors being included with the outfit.

Zero receives a more substantial visual alternative through a black style in addition to his own no-cel-shading setting. The black coloration closely recalls the character’s long-running Black Zero appearance from the Mega Man X series, where variations of the darker armor have appeared across multiple games. The Fortnite version therefore draws on an established part of Zero’s history rather than introducing an entirely new color scheme for the crossover.

The style information fills in one of the remaining gaps after Mega Man, X and Zero were revealed as the collaboration’s three outfits. Before the files decrypted, dataminers had identified three skins and differing numbers of selectable styles but could not reliably determine which Mega Man characters occupied the remaining encrypted slots. That uncertainty disappeared as promotional material and decrypted assets surfaced throughout September 7.

Epic has also now begun exposing more of the crossover through Fortnite’s official competitive infrastructure. The Override Series: Mega Man Cup is listed for September 8, with Battle Royale and Zero Build Duos competitions alongside a separate Mobile Cup. Epic’s tournament page says top competitors can earn Mega Man cosmetic rewards, while five eliminations with the Mega Buster unlock the Override Buster Blast Spray.

More detailed leaked tournament information has also outlined Mega Man Cup rewards and regional placement thresholds, tying the cosmetic rollout closely to this week’s competitive schedule. The Cup’s appearance on Fortnite’s official competitive site means the tournament itself is no longer merely a datamined event, even though the complete Item Shop rollout and individual cosmetic pricing still require separate confirmation.

The distinction remains important for the alternate styles. Epic has officially acknowledged the broader Mega Man collaboration and its tournament activity, but the Atomic Fire, helmet-off, Black Zero and no-cel-shading details discussed here come from decrypted cosmetic material rather than a complete Epic Games Item Shop announcement. As with any pre-release Fortnite asset, names, presentation or availability can still change before the cosmetics become purchasable.

For now, the decrypted material indicates that Fortnite’s three Mega Man outfits will offer noticeably different levels of customization. Mega Man reportedly has Atomic Fire, helmet-off and no-cel-shading choices, X adds a no-cel-shading option, and Zero includes Black Zero and no-cel-shading variants. With the Mega Man Cup scheduled for September 8 and more crossover assets continuing to decrypt, the collaboration is moving rapidly from encrypted files toward its full in-game release.
