Ghost of Yotei continues to receive regular post-launch support as Sucker Punch works to stabilize the experience for PS5 players.

While recent updates have aimed to smooth out progression and gameplay, the community has remained vocal about lingering issues that impact both performance and core mechanics. With expectations rising, every new patch release is met with anticipation—and concern.

Ghost of Yotei update 1.010 has been pushed live on PS5 as an unlisted patch, continuing Sucker Punch’s quiet rollout strategy with no official patch notes at launch.

While the previous update fixed issues like missing coins and the horse summoning bug, the community reports that several major problems still linger despite this new development.

Importance: Ghost of Yotei update 1.010 is significant because unresolved bugs are still blocking core progression, causing rising player frustration and putting pressure on Sucker Punch to respond quickly.

Players Say Ghost Of Yotei Update 1.010 Fixes Little

With Ghost of Yotei update 1.010, players were hoping for a smoother gameplay experience, but many of the game’s most disruptive bugs remain unresolved.

Reports continue to highlight issues such as the Wolf Blade guard not reflecting different sword kits, unintended respawns like getting sent back to the Red Crane Inn after death, and recurring crashes that affect stability.

More worryingly, players are still encountering a game-breaking glitch that traps Atsu in a respawn loop inside a spiked pit with no way to escape unless the entire game is restarted.

Critical Bugs Still Forcing Full Game Restarts

Additional bugs include the oxygen meter activating in shallow water, dens being capped at 50 Coins, controller inputs failing during missions like “Kusarigama’s Regret” or while moving through Yotei Grassland, and progress-blocking quests such as “The Last Brother” where NCPs fail to respond or objectives fail to spawn.

Despite the new patch, Ghost of Yotei update 1.010 leaves several game-breaking glitches unresolved

There are also complaints about shrines not registering as complete, the final Epic Box failing to appear, and a severe soft-lock related to skipping the Onyro armor upgrade cutscene that traps players at the Ishikari forge with a permanent UI lock, making the game nearly unplayable.
