Arrowhead Game Studios has announced the next Helldivers 2 Premium Warbond, Ironclad Democracy, for September 22. The new content pack focuses heavily on armored warfare and explosive equipment, adding three weapons, two throwables, two armor sets, two boosters and several cosmetic rewards. As with other Warbonds, players will need the base game, Super Credits and in-game progression to unlock its contents.
Ironclad Democracy’s primary weapons begin with the AR-11 Arbitrator, an assault rifle using an electrical firing mechanism to rapidly cycle caseless ammunition. It also carries an underslung shotgun, giving players a second close-range option without switching weapons. The GL-15 Evictor takes the opposite approach, operating as a pump-action grenade launcher built around area damage and a deliberate single-round reload between shots.
The Warbond’s new secondary weapon is the P-34 Breacher, a missile pistol designed to punch through armor. Its sticky projectiles use phosphorous fuel before detonating, giving the sidearm both armor-breaking and explosive capabilities. That makes the overall weapon selection unusually focused on dealing with armored targets and clustered enemies rather than adding another set of conventional rifles and pistols.

Two new throwables reinforce that theme. The G-60 Anti-Tank Seeker is a smart grenade delivery drone carrying a high-yield payload for armored vehicles; after deployment, it follows the Helldiver before identifying and homing in on a nearby enemy. The G-8 Immolation instead abandons a traditional explosion in favor of covering its target area in fire, providing another option for players building around incendiary damage and area denial.
Ironclad Democracy will also introduce the BFM-16 Tanker light armor and BFM-220 Ironclad heavy armor. Both come with a new passive called Blunt-Force Mitigation, which makes Helldivers harder to knock down, reduces impact and collision damage by 30% and provides a higher armor rating. The BFM-16 is styled after armored cavalry from the First Galactic War, while the heavier BFM-220 uses a bulkier design based around surplus hull plating and servo-bracing.
The two new boosters are aimed at survivability and anti-armor support. Integrated Extinguishers shortens the time needed to put out flames, which should be particularly useful for squads regularly using incendiary weapons or accidentally setting one another on fire. Surplus EAT Allocation provides two free uses of the Expendable Anti-Tank Stratagem during each mission, effectively supplying enough single-use launchers to arm an entire four-player squad once.
Arrowhead is also adding two capes, the Standard of Rapid Evacuation and Shroud of The Juggernaut, along with matching player cards. The Warbond includes the Helmet Durability Check emote and a new Treadhead player title. One of its more unusual additions is a Premium Warbond first: exclusive patterns for tanks, available in Verdant camouflage, Glacial polymer and Executive onyx.
The tank patterns fit the broader armored-division theme running through the entire package. Ironclad Democracy is less centered on a single damage type than some previous Warbonds and instead appears designed around staying upright under heavy pressure while carrying equipment suited to armored opposition. The combination of explosive weapons, anti-tank tools and impact-resistant armor should make it especially relevant for players who prefer direct engagements over lighter mobility-focused builds.
Arrowhead has not indicated that Ironclad Democracy will be time-limited. Helldivers 2 Warbonds remain available after release once purchased, allowing players to unlock their rewards with Medals at their own pace rather than completing them before a seasonal deadline.
Helldivers 2: Ironclad Democracy launches September 22. Its full lineup includes the AR-11 Arbitrator, GL-15 Evictor, P-34 Breacher, G-60 Anti-Tank Seeker, G-8 Immolation, two new armor sets, two boosters, cosmetic rewards and the game’s first tank-exclusive patterns offered through a Premium Warbond.
