Insignia, the unofficial replacement for the original Xbox Live service, has expanded its supported games catalogue with Burnout 3: Takedown and several other Xbox titles. The latest additions restore access to online functionality for games whose original Xbox Live services were discontinued years ago.
The additions are listed in Insignia’s official supported-games catalogue, which now includes Delta Force: Black Hawk Down, MTX Mototrax, NFL Blitz: The League and Monster Garage. The expansion follows a lengthy period in which relatively few new games were added to the service.
Other titles included in the recent expansion are NASCAR 2005: Chase for the Cup, NCAA Football 2005, Bicycle Casino, Robotech: Invasion, Madden NFL 2005, Gotcha! and NHL 2005.

Burnout 3: Takedown is particularly notable among the additions. The 2004 racing game is known for its aggressive arcade racing and takedown mechanics, which reward players for crashing into opponents. Its inclusion gives original Xbox owners another way to access the game’s online features through community-operated infrastructure.
Insignia’s official Burnout 3 page confirms support for the game but notes that matchmaking and leaderboard information for Electronic Arts titles is not currently displayed through the service’s website. This means players cannot rely on Insignia’s web interface to check Burnout 3 multiplayer sessions in the same way as some other supported games.
Insignia operates independently of Microsoft and is not an official revival of Xbox Live. Microsoft’s original Xbox Live service shut down in April 2010, leaving games that depended on its online infrastructure without their original multiplayer connectivity.
The replacement service recreates essential Xbox Live functionality, including online matchmaking and leaderboards for supported titles. It is free to use and requires players to register and configure their original Xbox consoles to connect to Insignia’s servers.
The project currently lists more than 200 supported games, including Halo 2, Counter-Strike, Forza Motorsport and Star Wars: Battlefront II. However, the availability of individual online features varies between games, and inclusion in the catalogue does not necessarily mean every original Xbox Live feature has been restored.
The expansion is another development in efforts to preserve original Xbox functionality. While projects such as original Xbox emulation on jailbroken PS5 consoles focus on running older games on different hardware, Insignia addresses a separate problem by restoring the network services that many original Xbox games once required.
Insignia says supported games are tested and released on an ongoing basis, with some titles requiring additional server functionality before they can be made available. The project’s official catalogue remains the reference for which games currently support its replacement online service.
