Nintendo has announced a new Indie World Showcase scheduled for Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at 7 AM Pacific Time (10 AM Eastern). The presentation will feature approximately 15 minutes of announcements and updates about independent games coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch.
The event was confirmed through Nintendo’s official Indie World website and Nintendo of America’s social media channels on October 27. Viewers can watch the presentation through Nintendo’s official website or its YouTube channel, where the broadcast has already been scheduled.
Unlike a traditional Nintendo Direct, the Indie World Showcase focuses specifically on games developed by independent studios. The upcoming presentation will cover titles heading to both Nintendo Switch generations, although Nintendo has not announced which games or developers will appear.

Interestingly, Nintendo’s Japanese website lists a different running time for its October 28 presentation. While the North American showcase is advertised as approximately 15 minutes, the Japanese broadcast is scheduled to last around 25 minutes.
The Japanese presentation will begin at 11 PM Japan Standard Time on October 28, coinciding with the North American broadcast. Nintendo describes it as a prerecorded video highlighting independent games playable on Switch 2 and Switch. The company has not explained the difference in duration between the regional presentations.
The October event follows Nintendo’s earlier Indie World presentations, including its March 3, 2026 showcase, which featured games such as Blue Prince, Rotwood and Minishoot’ Adventures. These presentations provide independent developers with an opportunity to introduce new games, announce console versions and share release information.
Nintendo’s independent-game lineup continues to expand across both consoles. Recent developments include ratings for a potential Nintendo Switch 2 version of Darkest Dungeon II and the announcement of Buckshot Roulette for Nintendo Switch. Neither title has been confirmed for the October 28 presentation.
With no official game lineup revealed ahead of the broadcast, any claims about specific titles appearing remain speculative. The confirmed focus is on new announcements and updates for independent games coming to Nintendo’s two current platforms.
The Nintendo Indie World Showcase begins October 28 at 7 AM PT, with the North American presentation expected to run for approximately 15 minutes.
