A new Pokémon Pokopia datamine has reportedly uncovered unused Pokémon icons that could reveal several creatures planned for upcoming downloadable content. The findings include Caterpie, Butterfree, Turtwig, Torterra, Fennekin and Cresselia, potentially offering an early look at additions to the Nintendo Switch 2 game’s next expansion.
The information originated from a message circulated on Discord and subsequently shared by Pokémon community account SoulSilverArt on October 25, 2026. The alleged datamine involves Pokémon Pokopia’s in-game icon sheet, which reportedly contains assets for species that are not currently available to players.
The findings surfaced following recent developments in Nintendo Switch 2 game-file dumping and datamining. However, Nintendo, The Pokémon Company and the game’s developers have not officially confirmed the leaked roster.

The reported files contain the following 27 Pokémon:
Caterpie, Metapod, Butterfree, Doduo, Dodrio, Snubbull, Granbull, Delibird, Skitty, Delcatty, Turtwig, Grotle, Torterra, Cresselia, Petilil, Lilligant, Fennekin, Braixen, Delphox, Swirlix, Slurpuff, Milcery, Applin, Flapple, Appletun, Dipplin and Hydrapple.
The selection includes complete evolutionary families from several generations. Caterpie, Metapod and Butterfree represent the original Kanto games, while Turtwig, Grotle and Torterra bring a complete Sinnoh starter evolution line. Fennekin, Braixen and Delphox provide another three-stage family from Pokémon X and Y.
Cresselia is particularly notable because it is a Legendary Pokémon. Its appearance among the unused icons raises questions about whether future Pokopia content could introduce special encounters involving Legendary Pokémon, although no corresponding gameplay details have been confirmed.
The alleged datamine also contains indications of possible limited-time events separate from the second expansion.
According to the circulated information, Dipplin and Hydrapple could become available through an event before DLC Part 2 launches. Another claimed event, themed around Thanksgiving, would reportedly feature Applin and its evolutionary relatives alongside themed decorations, including cooking items and a pile of leaves.
Additional speculation links Delibird to holiday celebrations and Cresselia to a possible New Year event. These connections remain unverified, and the presence of character icons does not establish when or how those Pokémon would become obtainable.
The leak also suggests that Part 2 could introduce a distinctive Alcremie character, potentially following the approach used for existing characters such as Tinkmaster and Smearguru. Specific details about this proposed addition have not been officially disclosed.
Pokémon Pokopia already has a confirmed three-part Expansion Pass. Its first installment, Bubbly Basin, arrived in August 2026 and introduced an underwater town, additional Pokémon and new furniture.
The Pokémon Company confirmed in September that Expansion Pass Part 2 is scheduled for late 2026. The update will introduce accessories that players can use to customize Ditto and other Pokémon, including sunglasses, bow ties and ribbons. Additional furniture and Pokémon are also planned, although Part 2 will not introduce another town.
The third expansion is scheduled for 2027 and will add a new town alongside further Pokémon and decorative items.
The reported roster therefore aligns with the confirmed plan to expand Pokémon Pokopia’s collection of creatures, but it does not establish that all 27 species will arrive together. Some could be reserved for limited-time events or later updates, while unused assets may never appear in a released version.
For players considering the Expansion Pass, the official late-2026 release window and promised additional Pokémon remain confirmed. The identities of the unannounced creatures, the suggested seasonal events and the proposed Alcremie character should be treated as unverified until Nintendo or The Pokémon Company provides further details.
