Queen’s Domain has received Steam Deck Verified status and confirmed Steam Machine compatibility ahead of its October 30, 2026 release. The retro-fantasy action RPG, developed by Freshly Baked Games and published by Future Friends Games, has passed Valve’s compatibility testing for its handheld and SteamOS-based gaming hardware.
Valve’s compatibility records, available through SteamDB, show that testing was completed on October 26, 2026. The results classify Queen’s Domain as Steam Deck Verified and SteamOS Compatible, indicating that the game meets Valve’s requirements for controller functionality, interface readability, and performance under default settings.
On Steam Deck, the verification confirms that all game functions are accessible using the default controller configuration. The game also displays appropriate Steam Deck controller icons, features legible interface text, and performs well using its default graphics configuration.

Steam Machine compatibility testing returned positive results for controller functionality, appropriate button prompts, and default performance. The records additionally confirm that Queen’s Domain runs successfully on SteamOS, with Proton Stable listed as the recommended compatibility runtime.
There is one controller-related limitation. Valve’s testing notes that external Bluetooth or USB controllers may not automatically become the active input device on Steam Deck or SteamOS. Players using an external controller may need to select it manually through the Quick Access Menu.
The verification provides additional reassurance for handheld PC players before launch, although it does not establish specific frame rates or performance results at customized graphics settings. The game’s Steam listing also provides a downloadable demo, allowing players to try its combat and exploration systems before purchasing the full release.
Queen’s Domain is a first-person action RPG set on the mysterious Isle of Neasied. Players search for their missing father while exploring an interconnected fantasy world filled with hidden passages, dangerous creatures, and powerful bosses. The game combines retro-inspired visuals with stamina-based combat, charged attacks, weapon-specific abilities, and secondary throwing weapons.
Exploration centers partly on the Legendary Holy Sword Endu, which allows players to travel across gaps and reach otherwise inaccessible areas. Upgrades extend the sword’s traversal capabilities, opening additional routes throughout the island.
The game features more than 50 melee weapons, over 20 types of throwing weapons, and more than 100 enemies, mini-bosses, and bosses. Character progression includes experience-based leveling and food that provides additional stat increases.
Queen’s Domain joins other PC RPGs receiving official handheld compatibility certification, including Enshrouded's Steam Deck verification. Its compatibility announcement also comes as Valve continues developing the SteamOS gaming environment, with SteamOS 3.9.5 introducing Linux and gaming-related improvements.
Queen’s Domain launches October 30, 2026, for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. The Steam version is scheduled to unlock at 17:00 UTC.
