Tales of Tuscany will launch on February 22, 2027, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam, iOS, and Android, publisher Top Hat Studios and developer Nico Papalia announced on November 2, 2026. The release date was confirmed alongside a new trailer during the Top Hat Studios Fall Showcase 2026.
The open-world RPG follows 2024’s Athenian Rhapsody and combines player-driven exploration, party-building, bullet-hell combat, and unconventional minigames. Originally announced in April 2025 with a planned 2026 release, Tales of Tuscany now has a confirmed February 2027 launch date across six platform categories.
Players control Lambypoo, a sheep attempting to restore the fictional land of Tuscany after an evil wizard named Thunder Goober destroys the region and scatters Lambypoo’s cousins across the world. The adventure involves exploring the damaged landscape, rescuing family members, recruiting companions, and deciding how to rebuild or take control of Tuscany.

Combat gives players multiple ways to approach encounters. Enemies can be defeated to earn experience points or befriended and recruited into the party. Recruited characters have individual statistics, personalities, and special BURST abilities, allowing players to assemble different teams. The game also includes rare alternate-colored versions of recruitable characters.
Not every encounter follows traditional RPG combat rules. Certain battles introduce minigames involving activities such as pumpkin carving, surfing, and completing paperwork. These sequences complement the game’s fast-paced bullet-hell encounters and emphasize its unconventional approach to RPG mechanics.
Player decisions also influence the surrounding world. Lambypoo can help rebuild the village, unlock additional facilities, and gain new abilities, or pursue a more destructive path. One unusual mechanic is a dedicated Baaa ability, which can be used to interact with characters, break environmental objects, and eventually defeat enemies directly in the overworld.
Another major feature is the Rhapsody system, which creates a personalized postcard after each completed playthrough. These postcards record the player’s statistics, decisions, and an in-game photograph, producing a collectible representation of their individual adventure. Players can customize and trade Rhapsodies with friends across supported platforms.
The system is designed to let players compare their experiences even when they make substantially different decisions throughout the story. Different approaches to combat, character interactions, and world exploration can result in distinct Rhapsodies.
Tales of Tuscany joins several RPGs scheduled for early 2027, including Alterium Shift's full PC release in February 2027, which will bring another independent role-playing adventure out of Steam Early Access.
A playable Tales of Tuscany demo is already available on Steam, allowing PC players to sample its combat, exploration, and character interactions ahead of the February 22 launch.
