Volcano Princess has received update 2.03.07 on Steam, adding a new exploration dungeon, three outfits, an additional romance ending, expanded character stories and full Japanese voice acting. The October 30, 2026 update also introduces a redesigned opening, additional music, Traditional Chinese language support and performance improvements targeting stuttering and memory usage on PC.
The changes were confirmed in the game’s official Steam announcement, which details the new content alongside fixes for saving, loading, combat and display issues. The free update brings features introduced with the game’s Complete Edition to the original PC release, following its earlier launch on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and mobile devices.
The largest gameplay addition is Path of Two Shadows, a new dungeon located in the Forgotten Valley. Unlike standard exploration areas, this dungeon features two-person exploration involving the daughter and a selected companion. Players can unlock its map by visiting the Central Plaza for the first time during or after volcano fall, triggering a conversation that introduces the new adventure.

The update also expands the game’s relationship and narrative content. A new romance ending involving both Hackett and Benson is now available, alongside supplementary stories featuring Claude and Carlos. Claude’s additional scenario has specific requirements: he must be the Lord, players must have more than nine Favorability hearts with him and possess the Heaven’s Society Badge. Speaking to the Principal in the Lord’s Quarters then triggers the story.
Three new outfits have also been introduced, each with a different unlock condition. The Love Unknown outfit becomes available by entering the Daughter’s Room during the second month of volcano winter. The Goddess Outfit requires completing a playthrough and subsequently visiting the Daughter’s Room during volcano summer. Meanwhile, the St. Elmore’s Academy Uniform unlocks automatically following the enrollment event in the first month of volcano summer.
Beyond the additional gameplay content, version 2.03.07 introduces full Japanese voice acting, a new opening sequence and additional background music. Players can choose between the original and updated soundtrack through the BGM Settings menu. Traditional Chinese text support has also been added, while existing translations have undergone revisions intended to improve their quality.
These additions were previously introduced as part of the Complete Edition released for other platforms in July 2026. The October 30 Steam update makes the expanded content available to PC players without requiring a separate purchase.
The patch also includes several technical improvements. According to the official notes, changes to the save system are designed to accelerate saving, loading and turn transitions. Revised memory allocation and text storage aim to reduce RAM consumption, while adjustments to frame-rate limiting address stuttering reported on some high-end PCs.
Additional optimizations target performance overhead during map movement, bulk purchases and sales, and dice betting. The developers have also addressed unnecessary memory usage when skipping dialogue and improved the stability of dialogue processing.
Several gameplay and interface bugs have been corrected. These include crashes caused by data errors, incorrectly positioned interface elements at certain screen resolutions, combat errors under specific conditions and an issue that caused horse racing and character movement to slow down at lower frame rates. Fixes also address background music playback and repeated conversion of corrupted save files from older versions.
Volcano Princess is a daughter-raising simulation RPG in which players guide their daughter’s development through education, relationships, exploration and personal decisions that determine her future. Update 2.03.07 is available now for the Steam version, adding more story paths and activities while addressing several technical issues affecting the existing PC experience.
