Fortnite Datamine Reveals Unfinished Cyberpunk Rebecca’s Guns

Unfinished assets for Rebecca’s Guns from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners have appeared in Fortnite’s latest update, according to a new datamine. Fortnite dataminer FireMonkey reported that files connected to the crossover weapons were added with the update, providing the first indication that Epic Games has started integrating them into the live build. The discovery does not mean the weapons are currently available, and Epic has not announced a release date.

The existence of Rebecca’s Guns themselves is not a leak. Epic Games officially listed them among the crossover weapons planned for later in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4: Override, alongside the Kingdom Key from Kingdom Hearts. What is new is the apparent addition of unfinished weapon assets to the game files, suggesting development has progressed since Epic first announced the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners content.

FireMonkey specifically described the newly discovered Rebecca’s Guns as unfinished. Images circulating from the datamine show two weapons associated with the planned item, but their current appearance should not necessarily be treated as the final version players will receive. Assets uncovered before release can contain placeholder models, textures, effects or statistics that Epic changes before an item reaches Fortnite’s active loot pool.

That distinction is particularly important because some players noticed that the datamined weapons do not immediately resemble Rebecca’s most recognizable Cyberpunk equipment. Rebecca is strongly associated with brightly colored firearms throughout Edgerunners, particularly her distinctive heavy weaponry. The unfinished state of the Fortnite assets means visual differences at this stage are not evidence that Epic has changed the collaboration or abandoned its planned design.

Epic announced the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners crossover as part of a broader season built heavily around gaming collaborations. Override launched with Sonic the Hedgehog headlining the Battle Pass and also includes content connected to Mega Man, Persona 5 Royal, Kingdom Hearts, Pac-Man, Crash Bandicoot and Spyro. Epic’s official season material specifically named Rebecca’s Guns as a weapon scheduled to arrive later rather than an item available from the season’s opening day.

The latest discovery therefore narrows the gap between Epic’s announcement and the weapon actually becoming playable, but it does not establish when that will happen. Fortnite regularly adds assets to its files before they are activated through a later update, hotfix or scheduled content change. Rebecca’s Guns could still undergo additional development before Epic enables them in Battle Royale.

This update has already produced several other backend discoveries as dataminers examine the new files. Recent findings have included the Geno story questline hidden in Fortnite’s files and associated rewards, while other datamines have exposed content before its intended rollout. The appearance of Rebecca’s weapon assets fits that pattern of unfinished material becoming visible through Fortnite’s update files before Epic formally activates it.

Epic has also demonstrated this season that crossover weapons can be more than cosmetic references. Mega Man’s Mega Buster is designed as a functional arm cannon, while other planned collaboration items are being incorporated into Override’s broader loot and gameplay systems. Rebecca’s Guns are therefore expected to function as usable weapons rather than simply appearing as cosmetic back bling or harvesting tools.

There is still no confirmed evidence from Epic detailing the final statistics, rarity, exact appearance or acquisition method for Rebecca’s Guns. Any values extracted from unfinished files should be treated as provisional until the weapon goes live or Epic publishes official details. Datamined content can change significantly between its first appearance in the files and public release.

The discovery also arrives amid a particularly active period for Fortnite leaks, with update files continuing to reveal future story and gameplay material. A separate datamined Fortnite OG Season X banner recently surfaced ahead of its expected rollout, illustrating how frequently Epic stages future content inside the game before it becomes visible to ordinary players.

For now, the reliable conclusion is limited: Epic has already confirmed Rebecca’s Guns from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners are scheduled for later in the season, and FireMonkey’s latest datamine indicates unfinished assets for those weapons have now been added to Fortnite. Their presence suggests development is moving forward, but there is currently no confirmed release date, final model or guarantee that everything visible in the files will reach the game unchanged.
