A new Fortnite datamine has revealed abilities tied to a large group of unreleased Sprites, including Adam Smasher, a Sonic Ring variant, Meowscles and a Phase Dash Sprite associated with League of Legends. Dataminer FireMonkey extracted the descriptions while examining Fortnite’s v42.20 files, exposing several combat, movement, healing and utility powers that have not yet been formally detailed by Epic Games. Because the information comes from development files, individual names, values and mechanics could still change before release.
The Adam Smasher Sprite appears to be built around offensive pressure. According to FireMonkey, shooting while carrying the Sprite will periodically launch a rocket, although the extracted description still uses a placeholder rather than specifying exactly how many seconds separate launches. Adam Smasher is already becoming a larger part of the Cyberpunk crossover, with files also pointing to an Adam Smasher boss encounter that could reward his Sprite when defeated.
FireMonkey has separately identified Adam Smasher, Rebecca and Arasaka Sprites among the broader Cyberpunk: Edgerunners content found in Fortnite’s files. The Adam Smasher version reportedly supports variants and carries the internal codename “Super Hot.” Some of that Cyberpunk content remains unfinished or encrypted, however, with FireMonkey warning that it could arrive in v42.30 rather than v42.20 or potentially be abandoned before release.
Several of the other leaked abilities focus on mobility and combat efficiency. The Phase Dash Sprite reportedly grants rechargeable Phase Dash charges, allowing players to pass through certain objects, while the Meowscles Sprite increases weapon swap speed. An Overdrive Reload Sprite grants Overdrive when reloading, potentially encouraging players to repeatedly cycle weapons during fights rather than treating reloads purely as downtime.
A Sonic Ring Sprite takes a different approach by spawning Rings whenever the player’s Shield is broken. Fortnite already has substantial Sonic content in Override, including the standard Sonic Sprite, which increases sprint speed, and a dedicated Green Hill Zone area. The game is also expanding Sonic-related gameplay through a datamined Sonic Rift Anomaly involving races and power-ups, making another themed Sprite consistent with the season’s wider crossover systems.
The Vampire Sprite appears designed around sustain during combat. Its leaked description says players restore white Health based on the amount of damage they deal, with the percentage increasing as the Sprite levels up. That effectively gives the player a form of health siphon, although FireMonkey’s extracted text does not provide the exact percentages for each level.
Utility-focused Sprites are also represented in the files. Squibbly reportedly fishes a Fishing Hole when the player dives into it, while the Dumpster Dive Sprite can find food after the player jumps into a hideable prop. Food obtained through Dumpster Dive is said to provide bonus healing, though FireMonkey separately noted that this Sprite is currently planned for v42.30 and that its ability is not yet implemented.
The Cube Sprite is comparatively straightforward, granting low gravity while equipped. Unlike the more elaborate Adam Smasher or Phase Dash abilities, its description suggests a persistent movement modifier rather than an action that requires charges or a specific trigger. Exactly how strong that low-gravity effect will be is not yet clear from the leaked text.
The findings show Epic continuing to make Sprites increasingly specialized during Chapter 7 Season 4: Override. Existing Sprites already cover mechanics such as sprint speed, automatic weapon reloading, Overshield, enemy detection and item upgrades, while the newly datamined batch expands that design into rockets, health siphoning, phasing, weapon swapping and environmental interactions.
Epic Games has not formally announced release dates for most of these Sprites. Some are present in or connected to v42.20 files, while others appear intended for later development, so their inclusion in the datamine should not be treated as confirmation that every ability will reach live matches unchanged. For now, the files provide an unusually detailed look at how Fortnite could expand its Sprite system through the remainder of Override.
