Rocket League’s Kingdom Hearts crossover is now live, bringing a limited-time event, themed challenges and a Gummi Ship vehicle bundle to the game. Psyonix officially launched the collaboration on September 17 at 9 AM PT, with the event scheduled to run until October 6 at 9 AM PT. Players can earn a range of Kingdom Hearts cosmetics through gameplay while additional items are available separately through the Item Shop.
The limited-time event includes nine themed rewards tied to its challenge track. These include a Sora Octane Decal, Full Hearted Universal Decal, Lucky Emblem Wheels, Star Trails Boost, Star Trails Trail, Keyblade Topper, Keyblade Player Banner, Keyblade Avatar Border and the “Keyblade’s Chosen” Player Title. Two repeatable challenges are also available, with one awarding a Treasure Chest up to five times and another granting 20,000 XP each time it is completed.
The centerpiece of the paid portion of the collaboration is the Gummi Ship Bundle. The vehicle uses the Octane hitbox and comes with Gummi Ship Wheels as well as Heartless, Magic and Classic decals. Additional shop items include the Seal the Goal Goal Explosion, Heartless Wheels and the “Blast Away – Gummi Ship II” Player Anthem.
The Gummi Ship’s arrival follows earlier evidence that the Kingdom Hearts vehicle was being prepared for both Rocket League and Fortnite. A prior leak revealed the Gummi Ship car and accompanying Rocket League cosmetics before Psyonix publicly confirmed the event. The final launch closely matches those earlier findings, although the official announcement now establishes which rewards are earned through challenges and which are sold through the Shop.
Kingdom Hearts is also expanding across Fortnite at the same time. Sora, Riku, Kairi and Roxas are part of the wider crossover, with official Fortnite footage showing all four characters in-game ahead of the September 17 launch. The crossover also includes additional Fortnite-specific content rather than simply sharing cosmetics between the two Epic Games titles.
Epic has scheduled further Kingdom Hearts activity for Fortnite on September 19 through its Power Hours event. During those windows, players can obtain Kingdom Keys and Sea Salt Ice Cream while receiving increased Sprite and loot drops, adding a gameplay-focused element to the crossover. The Kingdom Hearts Power Hours therefore run separately from Rocket League’s challenge-based event while sharing the same broader collaboration.
Rocket League’s version is more focused on cosmetic progression and car customization. The free challenge rewards cover decals, wheels, boost effects, profile cosmetics and a Keyblade-themed topper, while the Gummi Ship provides the most recognizable Kingdom Hearts vehicle component. Its use of the Octane hitbox also means the car fits into one of Rocket League’s most familiar handling profiles rather than introducing a unique vehicle shape.
The event will remain available for just under three weeks, ending October 6 at 9 AM PT. Players who want the challenge rewards will need to complete them before that deadline, while the Gummi Ship and other paid cosmetics are being offered through the Item Shop during the collaboration period.
With the event now live, the Kingdom Hearts crossover has moved beyond earlier leaks and trailers into a full Rocket League rollout. Its combination of free challenge rewards and premium Gummi Ship cosmetics gives the collaboration a broader footprint than a single shop bundle, while the simultaneous Fortnite content ties both games into the same September Kingdom Hearts campaign.
