Fortnite’s ongoing gaming crossover season appears set to add a larger Pac-Man presence in its next update. Fortnite leaker HYPEX reports that the existing maze area will receive a Pac-Man-themed update, while other established dataminers say related content is planned for this week. Epic Games has not formally detailed the update yet, so the maze changes and their precise release timing remain based on datamined information rather than an official patch announcement.
According to HYPEX, the upcoming change will update Fortnite’s maze with Pac-Man content during the next game update. Additional reports from Fortnite leakers ShiinaBR, FireMonkey and SpushFNBR point to the same crossover expanding this week, with the four classic ghosts Blinky, Inky, Pinky and Clyde becoming part of the theme. SpushFNBR has also reported that a Pac-Man Sidekick is expected alongside the update, although Epic has not yet confirmed that cosmetic’s release details.
Another piece of evidence comes from Fortnite’s Lobby Hack system. FireMonkey uncovered an upcoming code, “BlinkyInkyPinkyClyde,” while HYPEX and ShiinaBR independently highlighted the same code in connection with Pac-Man content. The reference to all four ghosts makes the crossover connection unusually direct, but what the code will actually unlock or trigger has not yet been publicly explained by Epic.
Pac-Man’s involvement in the current Fortnite season has been telegraphed for some time. Before Chapter 7 Season 4 began, Pac-Man audio could already be heard around Wonkeeland, serving as an in-game tease for the arcade franchise. Dataminers had also found references to Pac-Man among the gaming properties associated with the season, alongside franchises such as Sonic the Hedgehog and Mega Man.
That makes the newly reported maze change less of an isolated surprise and more of an expansion of a crossover Epic has been quietly setting up. Fortnite’s current season has leaned heavily into gaming properties, including a roadmap featuring Mega Man and additional Sprite content as Epic steadily rolls out collaborations rather than releasing every crossover at the start of the season. Pac-Man’s unusual shape also makes an environmental feature, Sidekick or interactive map element a more natural fit than a conventional humanoid outfit.
Epic has already demonstrated a willingness to reinterpret game characters to make them work within Fortnite’s rules. Sonic’s appearance, for example, uses an android explanation that allows the character to participate in Fortnite’s combat without changing Sega’s established version of Sonic, with Sonic Team explaining why the Fortnite version can use weapons. Pac-Man may similarly rely on alternative cosmetic and environmental formats rather than a standard player skin.
The timing points toward Fortnite’s next scheduled content update later this week, but players should distinguish that expectation from confirmation of every leaked component. Datamined assets and backend references can reveal content before release, yet Epic can still delay, alter or withhold individual features. The Pac-Man maze, Lobby Hack and reported Sidekick should therefore remain described as upcoming leaked content until Epic publishes patch information or the update goes live.
If the current datamines hold, Pac-Man will soon move from background Easter eggs into a much more visible role within Fortnite’s gaming-focused season. Updating the maze around Pac-Man’s ghosts would give Epic a way to incorporate the franchise’s defining gameplay imagery directly into the island, while the Lobby Hack and potential Sidekick would extend the collaboration beyond the environment. More concrete details should become available once Epic reveals the next Fortnite update or its encrypted content becomes accessible after deployment.
