POPUCOM will launch for PlayStation 5 on November 17, 2026, publishers GRYPHLINE and Fireshine Games and developer Hypergryph Network Technology have announced. The cooperative puzzle-platforming adventure, previously released on PC and Nintendo Switch, is coming to Sony’s console with support for up to four players through local and online multiplayer.

The November 3 announcement confirms the PS5 release date for the first time. A new release-date trailer accompanies the announcement, giving PlayStation players another look at the game’s colorful environments, cooperative challenges, and puzzle-solving mechanics.

POPUCOM originally launched for PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store on June 1, 2025, before arriving on Nintendo Switch on December 4, 2025. The upcoming PS5 edition marks the game’s third platform release.

Set on a mysterious planet, POPUCOM follows a group of adventurers working together to overcome obstacles, defeat enemies, and restore the world. Its gameplay combines cooperative platforming with color-matching puzzles, requiring players to coordinate their actions to progress through different environments.

Color switching is central to the experience. Players can change colors to activate mechanisms, interact with environmental objects, and solve puzzles. The game’s Rainbow Popper weapon also allows players to shoot colored projectiles at creatures called Pomus, with matching groups of three triggering effects that help eliminate threats.

Cooperation extends beyond basic movement and combat. Certain obstacles require players to synchronize their actions, use different abilities, or manipulate objects together. The game supports both couch co-op and online multiplayer for up to four participants, allowing friends to complete challenges either on the same console or remotely.

Players can also collect special items known as super artifacts, each providing abilities useful for exploration and puzzle-solving. These include Rollo the Bomb, Captain Kitty, Barrier Bot, and Power Kid. The artifacts introduce additional ways to interact with the environment and overcome obstacles.

Outside its main stages, POPUCOM features character customization through an in-game Closet, where players can combine different clothing and cosmetic items. An arcade room also offers mini-games alongside the main cooperative adventure.

The PS5 release adds another multiplayer-focused title to the console’s November lineup, which also includes the upcoming November 13 release of Derelikt, a retro-styled sci-fi horror game.

POPUCOM is currently listed on the PlayStation Store with support for one to four local players and up to four online players. The listing also confirms DualSense controller vibration support.

With the November 17 release date established, PlayStation players now have a confirmed arrival date for the cooperative adventure more than a year after its original PC debut.
